i just saw the news and they talked about AWOL. alcohol without liquid. sounds interesting doesnt it. well british scientists engineered it and its getting pretty popular. infact a club in NY uses it. it oxidates the alcohol making it easier to go down and much faster to get the effects of one shot. it doesnt hurt. but this brings up many questions.. is it safe? could underaged kids use it? side effects.... but this is all i have heard ,and this sounds interesting... but it is questionable.. do you think this will revolutionize the standard limits of drinking.... i remind you the effects happen faster than regular alcohol. and it is also less calories so its also less filling. ....

OFFICIAL AWOL SITE

so what do you think about it..

ohh wow. that can't be any good. think of all the problems it would cause! I mean we already have enough problems with alcoholics. We don't really need AWOL. I blieve AA ((alcoholics-anon.)) already has enough members. _dry.gif

I can only think of negatives that could come from AWOL. pinch.gif

Anybody have any postitives? whistling.gif

oh i watched a whole program on this about a year ago. I don't see the appeal in inhaling alcohol anyway. Its like your at a bar and a guy comes up to and says
"Hey can i buy you a breath of tequila?" huh.gif The thing itself is all big and clunky.... and reminds me of a breathalyzer test ...pretty dorky if ya ask me. And not to mention after a person uses it somebody else comes and puts their mouth on it! disgusting.

We have enough people with liver and kidney damage, and not to mention enough deaths related to alcohol, why would you try and make alcoholism easier to achieve? rolleyes.gif

the thing is, this stuff takes a lot longer to get you drunk that regular cans of beer. So to get drunk, you'd have to be inhaling this stuff for a while.

no its a lot faster. the news reporter bought one and put a shot of whiskey and gave it to her friend and he inhaled some and he felt the effects like less than 5 minutes later. and it was only one shot.

i think they have interchangeable tubes . that would be really unsanitary. yea not to mention it is kind of bulky.

The only difference between this inhaler and alcoholic beverages is that you won't be hungover...

We have all the reasons why alcohol is bad. Unless AWOL is NOT alcohol, I don't see any positives.

AWOL is alcohol. and oxygen . basically oxygenated alcohol. you still pour the alcohol in it. and the mist comes out.

... I said....

UNLESS AWOL isn't alcohol, I don't see any positives.

Meaning, because it is alcohol though inhaled, it isn't any better alcohol beverages.

I think you read me wrong. I didn't say it isn't alcohol, come on now. rolleyes.gif

So you inhale it? Wouldnt it cause damage like cocaine does? Brain damage, Internal nose damage? Or is it throguh your mouth. For some reason "huffing" comes to mind
