I believe it is about time that I get to people's heads as to what Art actually is. Many people believe that art is materialistic. That art is paintings, drawings, sketches, models, and crafts. But this definition is inaccurate. These material things are only the result of Art. The definition -- unfaltered, unaltered, raw, down to the tenders of the human psyche -- is expression. Art is expression. When you see a painting, it is telling you something. When you look at a scuplture, the artist is trying to make you see something. Art, as we know, is the truest and deepest form of expression. And vice-versa. Expression, too, is art. When we speak with words, the words come directly from the mind, and therefore, the spoken word is an Art. When we write, it is an expression, a conversion of thought to word, word to reader, and reader subject to emotion. Writing is an art. Which is what I want you people to understand. Art is underappreciated. People don't understand that when an artists paints, or speaks, or writes, they don't do it for the looks, their form of expression, their ultimate priority is to engrave the emotions they feel to the audience. When I paint something beautiful, I want you to feel what I do when I see it. When I speak, I want you to understand what I am trying to say, and what I want you to feel, the exact same way I do. When I write, I want you to absorb those words and metabolize them into pure emotion. These are the goals of an artist. To undermine them is undermine the beauty of the human mind.

True art is beyond the realm of eyes and ears, it reaches deep into the soul. A snapshot if you will of the spirit and the mind made solid, as it's been filtered through the inexperienced and the shallowness that is man kind.

art is seeing, but not with your eyes, with your heart. it too is an expression, just like what you said, i really like how u described it.
