No, not that kind of "morning after", silly.
I'm talking about right after you break up. So, one of my really good friends came to school today in sweats, messy hair, no makeup, eyes red, blotchy skin from crying. The works. I felt so bad for her, she's such a sweetheart. She's not the type to come out of the house without looking perfect, because, well, she is gorgeous and everything. But that's beside the point. She told me that last night, her boyfriend of two years and four months broke up with her. Actually, I think it was kind of mutual. He said she didn't love him anymore or something. I don't know. He told her, "If you don't want to be my girlfriend anymore, I guess that's okay, I just want you to be happy. But I can't live without you. So you have to promise me that if we're breaking up, you're still going to be my best friend." That really got me right there. I don't know why, but the whole... "Can't live without you" thing is just too sweet to be true. But that's just the kind of sap I am. So, I've never really had an official relationship before, so I wouldn't really know, but once you and your significant other broke up, were you still friends after? |

Yeah, except some. One of my exes is a jerk. A few weeks after we broke up, he asked me out AGAIN and I rejected him. He started talkin shit about me. Dude, if you got rejected, GET OVER IT.

i think that your friend might get back together with that guy...he seems like a great person. it seems like she broke up with him because he said "if we're breaking up...."
hmm, i'd like to be friends with my 1st ex because he seems pretty smart and i can ask him all these geeky questions...but my second ex, i don't want to even talk to him again  my 3rd ex is just an immature jerk, i wouldn't even want to be in the same area code as him

I kicked my friend's ex in the balls when he asked me out.
 But thats beside the point.I don't know the feeling of this, but there was an ex of my best friend. Hmmm, you could say we are best friends though.

Well, sort of. We weren't good friends, but I guess we said hi and bye every now and then. Talked every now and then. Though he stalks me.. so I have no choice but to say hi and bye.
Other than that, I talk to him. He flirts with me, still, but I guess you can call us friends.

After me and my ex broke up, it was more or less a mutual thing that we can't be friends afterwards. He said it was unrealistic, and I have to agree with him on this; if we were friends, I'd be chasing after him and hoping to get back together...
In my opinion, you should never be friends with ex's...there is too much tension there.. |

But after I broke up with my girlfriends (yes I've been the one to call them off because of communication problems or some other problems.) we haven't really talked after that...girls can be quite bitter. -Kevyn |

My one and only ex and I are struggling to stay friends... I try to talk to him on AIM but he won't reply. In school he always hangs out with the popular people and pays no attention to me...
I have no idea WHY he won't talk to me considering the fact he broke up with me and crushed MY heart, made me depressed, and now he is like a girl magnet! I still want to be his friend... |

well i had 3 past boyfriends. the first one; he moved away and we no longer talk. the second one; we ended up hating each other and now we dont even know each other anymore. and my 3rd one, we still talk occasionally, we just arent as tight as before.

It's possible to still be friends.. but it usually ends up in one of the others wanting to get back together. At least, it's been like that for me in the past (and... I'm usually the one wanting him back) I do suppose it's possible, but in my case I guess I can't ever let go of a "good thing".

Granted, boys do hit on her a lot, but she's always been loyal to her boyfriend. And she was saying how he tried to control her. Not to the point where he wouldn't let her do anything or whatever, but like... telling her NOT to do something. For example, she said how that upsets her because he could have just said that he wouldn't like it too much if she did, but that right there would kind of show that he knows she's capable of not doing something because it was her choice. ...That didn't make any sense at all. |
