i don't know. i don't think it's to find a prospective husband/wife, because then that's just weird.
 I guess we're just bored or if you're really stupid, maybe you're trying act grown-up. to me, i guess dating's just fun, it shouldn't be anything serious. ^_^

Usually it's for fun. But just because you're only 12 or 13 doesn't mean you can't have strong feeligs for a person. Very very strong feelings. I'm thirteen and I definatly do. My girlfriend. I'm in eighth and she's in seventh. So yeah.

because they really like each other and being bf/gf allows them to show their feelings. if they held hands and stuff, people would be like "omg, and youre not even bf/gf" at least that what i think is the reason why...

People date in middle school/high school to be happy, to be with the one they want to be with. They want to have fun and be with someone that makes them smile.
Sometimes you get lucky, and you get married to someone that you dated in highschool. Most times, no. |

Well counting that I'm in that age category they like to have bf/gf (first timers) to see how it's like and if they continue i guess they think it's cool or just want someone to talk to (companion.)

haha...you know...i wonder the same thing...and seeing it that i did date when i was in the 7th grade....lets see here...i did it because....well...just for the sake of having a b/f...i mean...i know it was wrong and all..but i was a little kid...it can't be helped...kids are entitled to doing such things now...i mean...it's stupid when you grow up and think back really...because that's exactly what i did....haha...when i think about it now...it's just so stupid...hahaha....

usually junior high kids date for the wrong reasons. they date just to date, just to be able to label someone as their boyfriend or girlfriend. it's kind of like a status thing, "haha i have a boy/girlfriend i'm so cool" usually like that. or they just want to act older.
