Does anybody reccomend a good, safe, free program that can get rid of spyware, adware, trojan horses, viruses, and all that?

try googling "ad aware". the name of the company that puts it out is Lavasoft. Stay away from Yahoo Toolbar, Spybot Serach and Destroy, and anything that is advertised in a pop-up.

Also, try going to zdnet.com, click on "downloads" and search for spyware remover or something like that. It will pop up a list of programs that you can download, either as freeware or shareware.

I already have spybot search and destroy, but it removes hardly anything, because I still have a lot of spyware. And I googled antispyware, and after I downloaded them, it let me scan, but then said I have to buy them to get rid of the spyware.
I need something better.

i have NA (norton antivirus) and its pretty good at detecting viruses and adware, but isn't always able to delete them....

but for some reason i kind of know how to delete them otherwise. if you have problems deleting adware once you've found it, find the address of the file and delete it...but dont forget to empty your recycle bin i guess

I use Mcafee Virus Scanner. It covers up most of your needs like Spyware, Viruses & etc.. It's not free, but it's awfully good. $60.00 for the Firewall+ & Virus scanner in one package. Good luck. wink.gif
