i guesss skater chicks are alright...pretty much the same as all other girls except for the ones at my school aren't as girly...not like that is a bad thing, though.

Hmm...skater chicks. Yeah they're cool. Especially when there doing all those extreme tricks. But also applies to all girls that participate in mostly male sports/hobbies..ect.

i got into it in like 6th grade and skated for about 2 years, but i was never really sucsessful at it...anyways

i have lots of guy skater friends and they had/have no problem with me skating or not skating...i pretty much stopped cuz i got too wraped up into school and i had no place to skate since i live in the country....

i think skater chicks are awesome...it just proves that they can do as much if not more than the guys(which makes them hot i guess...)...they can hang out with them and be who ever they want....i know from being a "skater chick" that you get alot of negative energy from it...but seriously you shouldnt say there not hot or a hot....

I used to skateboard when I got younger, but then I felt I needed to focus more on school and ran out of time to do what I enjoyed doing. But hmm...there really aren't any around here, and if they are, they're the ones who skate because it's trendy, as mentioned before in the topic. Blah. I hate that. Other than that, I think they're awesome.

I think girls just like to skateboard to get closer to a guy they like or if they are actually into the sport. Me, being a skateboarder from a small town, I can't find girls that are like that. They are too busy worrying about what they want to wear, shopping, and so forth.

But, if a girl can skateboard, that's cool. I think what girls think, is that; if they skateboard, it gives them a reason to be around guys and so forth. To be, another one of the guys, or, to be around guys in general. I don't know, but, I just think it gives them another reason to be around guys. But, that's just me.

I wanted to become one, but my parent's wouldn't let me even go on one because they're scared that I will bang myself up. They won't even let me play the guitar, & only when I can afford one myself when I'm older. Haha. Once I wanted to pretend to be a gothic, and see their reactions. My mom would probably just freak out.

I agree. I used to skateboard when I was younger, but it wasn't professional or special. And I stopped cause I kept hurting myself. And now, a lot of girls are buying skateboards to look "skater" so they can hang with the "skater boys" who supposedly are "the bomb." And most can't skate.. I've seen. I think the ones who can REALLY skate and who aren't "omgz i sk8 & im kewl cuz i where roxy n listen 2 ashlee simpson cuz she so punk!!1" are hot.

personally, i think it's pretty cool that some of the female society can or tries to skateboard and not get caught up breaking their nails..

i skateboard - started a couple of months ago. i can't do tricks but don't get me wrong, i can ride pretty well. however, moving on to my point.

whenever i skate around my neighborhood, people often look and say "i've never seen a girl skater before" or "you rock! go female power!" i mean it's nice to hear them cheer for you, but can't you say the same for guys? [except "female power"] i've been called a poser once, just cause i was a girl and didn't want to skate in front of the a**hole that asked me to show "what i got". psht. whatever that means.

I think some are really cool and others can be asses. It really depends on the person. I try to get to know the person before I decide what I feel towards them.
