Um amazingly it's supposed to be 15% more efficient than the current Boeing 747-400...which was the largest passenger aircraft in the skies until today... blink.gif I'm going to try to be in either Singapore or London Heathrow to see the "maiden" flight w/ Singapore Airlines next Spring... cool.gif

That is so amazing. World's only twin-deck, four-aisle airliner, with comfort and luxurious experience during flight. I heard about this from a friend of mine who forwarded a message in my eMail that contains some links of the interior pictures in Airbus A380. I am not sure if these pictures are the interior of this aircraft, but they were; 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5.
Amazing. ohmy.gif The future is near. mellow.gif

It's just on a test flight, pretty much it takes off, flies around to see if it could actually fly and other fun stuff, then land. happy.gif

Depends on what the customers (airlines) want on it.

QUOTE(robb0 @ Apr 27 2005, 6:42 PM)
no way man. i doubt it. the inside is probably luxurious, but not so luxurious as that. i mean seriously. look at that first image. it looks like a dentist chair.

*

Meh that's European chic design right there. wink.gif Supposedly that's a first class seat/bed. The best that's around that would most likely be installed in the A380 is what the Arabian airline Emirateshave in their A340-500s.
QUOTE(karamelle @ Apr 27 2005, 12:07 PM)

Don't worry about the name "Airbus", it's just the name of the company...dosen't apply the aspects of like a regular rapid transit bus in the air... wacko.gif

BTW here's some interesting info for our Pinoys and Pinays in this forum...Philippine Airlines is looking in purchasing the A380! Basically it suits the needs of the airline esp. during the Christmas season when capacity matters. The routes that this most likely would be deployed at is Manila-Los Angeles/San Francisco since it's practically the busiest transoceanic routes in the airline.

(NOTE THAT THIS PHOTO WAS CREATED ON THE REQUEST OF MY FRIEND, IT IS NOT THE "OFFICIAL" RENDERING OF IT)

If PAL decides to take up orders for this aircraft, it will join Air France, China Southern, Emirates, Etihad, Fed Ex, ILFC (it's an aircraft leasing firm), Korean Air, Lufthansa, Malaysia Airlines, QANTAs, Qatar Airways, Thai Airways, UPS and Virgin Atlantic in operating this aircraft.
