As some of you may have known, I saw Slipknot last night. Yeah, I wouldn't stop talking about it.
I'm not sure if this sort of thread is 'allowed' or anything, so I'll keep it brief. The show started promptly at 7:00 PM with Shadows Fall as the opening act. I must say, they impressed me. I figured they'd rock ass, but they were f*cking AWESOME. Their best song was "Inspiration on Demand" which happens to be my favorite song of theirs. Brian Fair (singer) was really into it, and he really had the crowd going. Lots of participation on both ends. A wonderful opening act. Then came Lamb of God at around 8:15, I'd say. Randy was very into it. The crowd absolutely loved them. Everyone was headbanging and moshing. Absolute chaos. I loved it. They were good, but I liked Shadows Fall better. Then around 9:00 or so, I'm not sure, seeing that I didn't have a watch, SLIPKNOT came on. Oh hell....They were f*cking awesome. I can't even begin to say how awesome they were. They put on one hell of a show. Corey could barely speak a few days ago, but you could only tell that he was having problems in-between when he was talking. He worked so f*cking hard. They all did. Paul, the bassist, is still in the hospital. They said he's doing better, but they haven't said why he's there. Anyway, to wrap this up, Slipknot f*cking kicked ass. I've never been so impressed. It looked like Mick and Jim took over most of the bass parts. One would do the bass and the other would double up on guitar parts. Sid was f*cking awesome to watch. He was all over the place. Chris and Shawn were too. They all impressed me. Each act did. It was great. So I guess I should make a purpose for this thread, eh? A few questions. 1) Have any of you gone to a concert on the Subliminal Verses tour? Do any of you plan on it? 2) What was your first concert? I know this has been asked before, but it's not the main purpose of my thread. Thanks. |

1) No and no. Not my type of music.
2) I was gonna go to Guns N' Roses a few years ago, but it was cancelled last minute (something about Axl) and there was a riot. Sucked ass. I have never been to a concert in my LIFE. There's a U2 one coming up this week, to, but it was sold out in 8 minutes. =( |
