okay I did this post earlier about how to get my video to play in a certain area on my xanga... I got help using div ::: www.xanga.com/completelyimperfect --

thing is. I have it in the right spot I want it. and it shows in the right spot when the screen is maximized... but its out of place when the screen isnt maximized.. (you know when its like able to be moved position and size.. you get it)

quesiton is I guess.. how do I prevent it from moving when the screen isnt maximized ..

this is the div I used

thanks for any help.

uhh the problem is that it needs to be more positioned to the left a little but you want to make your video screen smaller right? can you paste your video code here? happy.gif

i dont want to make the size of the video smaller. it fits perfectly in the area i added in my design. ---EDIT--- its perfectly fit when the browser window is full maximized - when its not its out of place
i just want it to stay in that place. when you make the window browser smaller, the video's placement moves. and is off centered.

if I do. it would seem out of position.. when maximized.
isnt there some part of a code that will just snap it to the area and wont move at all?
i use to know something.

I thought absolute positioning didn't work for Xanga. No matter...
If it's absolute positioning it doesn't move when you minimize the window. At all. At least when I checked it in both Firefox and IE it doesn't move.

I just discovered it moves in different resolutions too..

my resolution is as 1280x1024
i viewed it at 1024x768 and 800x600 and they are positioned differently.

I'm saying it IS. In 1024 x 768 screen resolution, using both IE and Firefox, your video doesn't move when you make the window smaller. It's too far to the left though. -shrug- Maybe it's just my computer.... wait. My computer detests Xanga. -.-u
