Hi. Okay, so my friend told me to come here because I really need some help. For two months now, I have had this student teacher (by the way I'm a junior in high school) and at first, I just thought he was cute. He told everyone in our class he was free for tutoring in English, which I really needed help in, so I signed up. After a couple sessions, we began to get close and I started to like him, and I thought he liked me too. Two weeks ago, we kissed but afterwards he told me that he couldn't do this because I was kind of his student, and didn't want to jeopardize either of our lives.

I still really like him and I have no idea what to do. I know that we can't be together but I've been feeling horrible since then. I've only told my best friend since I don't want to tell everyone and get in trouble. She told me to just forget about it, but Iono... cry.gif

you really should forget this he can get fired for this. like at my school, my american history teacher gave birth to a student's baby in february, the story was on the front page of a newspaper 2 weeks ago...they had a sexual relationship, she's 25 and he's 18 now...

plus he's probably a lot older than you are...even if you like him as much as you say...this can never work out, even outside of school. people will find out and since you were his former student stuff will get out and he'd probably be fired that way too...

for the sake of you and your teacher...you should probably just forget him like your friend said...

End the relationship. He is a teacher which means his probably older and you are way younger. I dont think its smart. And if you dont mind me asking, how old are you?

i think you should just froget about your teacher. teacher student relationships are a big no no. you can get in a lot of trouble and your teacher could get fired. just forget about it and look for guys in your grade. don't worry as time goes on you'll forget about you teacher and you won't feel bad.

Hello??? I'm surprised no one has mentioned that teacher that just recently got out of jail. She fell in love w/ her student and had sex with him. She was sentenced to seven years in jail. She's out now, and she's getting married to her student.

I would say forget about it. I don't know, I guess if you really like eachother it could wait until your not a student anymore.

There really is something wrong with it I think. I don't think there's anything wrong with being in a relationship after they're your teacher. But, if there's still the student-teacher relationship, there can be no other romantic relationship involved. It leaves a huge opening for favoritism.

But either way, it jeapordizes his career. Not just at that school but I'm sure it could affect future jobs as well and the reputation of the student.

in your first paragraph, you said he was a student teacher. does that mean that he really is a student that teaches a certain subject hes really good at? at my school, people from higher math classes sometimes come and teach us... maybe thats what you mean, unless he really is a teacher.

Student teachers are university students that teach at high/elementary schools for practice. After a year of being a student teacher ( i think it's a year ) they can become a real teacher. At least that's what student teachers are where I am.

it's a sure thing that the teacher will be fired and not allowed back in the school system ever again, there's no "maybe, maybe not"

He's a student at a nearby University, and teaches with my English Teacher as practice, just like what tchotchke said. He just offered tutoring as something extra that he wanted to do.

Maybe, you could, like not get the tutoring at all. That would make it so that it wouldn't have to be a student-teacher relationship, but now its a Junior to University student relationship.

But if you need this tutoring don't quit it and don't go for the guy.

If you got the tutoring for the sake of getting close to this guy, don't get tutoring and go for the guy. mellow.gif

Hmm... just try hanging out with him until your old enough to date him. Keep in contact, but do not get too close.

it's true...he can get fired for this n u can get in trouble. just as long as its on the down low i think it's ok n of course he'll have to wanna be with u to. i know a couple people who got with their substitutes too but it didnt last. honestly if u do end up with him for a lil while, then it wont last so it's probly best if u get over him. i dont think he wants to lose his job either so i really think u should forget him.

He`s a teacher you`re a student, if you two DO go out it could get him fired and you in serious trouble. It wouldn`t work out.

hm.....so he's a teacher and you're in Jr. High. He's way older than you are...I'd suggest finding someone a bit more reasonable.

-You could get him fired
-You could ruin your life forever (Long term.) Who would hire someone that's had a history with their teacher after showing on the news and headlines. Good luck finding a job.
-Think of your family
-Think of his family
-Think of YOURSELF

Look at all of the people you'd jeopardize...is your youth and innocence worth breaking? I think not.....

and lastly...I think a student teacher relationship is nasty as hell. On both the student and the teacher...
