as most environmentalists do, i detest SUVs, the H2 in particular. with its lousy 11 MPG, its faux off road vehicle stylings, its goofy impracticalilty, it is offensive in every way. unfortunately, some idiots think that burning H2s will solve problems, while that is said to produce more pollutants than the H2 would just driving around.

what should we do with these bloody machines?

Disgusting pieces of ugly-looking metal that waste environmental resources...

I like the reef idea.

it's what they did with tanks after WWII, they thought they wouldn't need them because they had 'the bomb'

if people want to buy that car than i think that is their problem. you can't just get rid of a suv/h2 just because alot of people don't like it. ermm.gif

I don't like the Hummers, but I love my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I do carpools, however. I would purchase a more environmental friendly SUV if I could afford one.

what i'd really love would be if i could take a train from one city to the next.

when my school has a 200 mile trip to make, we take a bus.
i'd love it if we could take a train.
if i wanted to go to california, hell, i don't want to drive or fly. i want to take a train.

call me a bloody romantic, but trains are the way to go.

I <3 our SUV. Pulls the boat and horse trailers with ease, and still has enough cabin space to fit the family in to take trips (which the trucks we were looking at definitely didn't). It is one of the most useful vehicles we have ever had. Sorry.

I always found it silly to see these hulking SUVs with their chrome rims cruising around in my white suburban town. it seems like such a horrible waste of resources. the only time i felt an SUV was necessary was when i was in South Africa, where much of the areas lack paved roads. and these weren't "pimped" SUVs, these were real, manly SUVs, covered in dust and mud, with snorkels and a variety of practical accessories. there were no hummers, just Land Rover Defenders and Toyota Land Cruisers(the real off road ones, not the ones in america).

not to mention that the shermans were really really bad tanks. they weren't worth keeping at all.

edot: on the plus side, if a hummer and sherman tank ever crashed, the hummer would survive, and the sherman would be totaled.
