I sit down late at night thinking about the times we’ve shared between you and me.
And sometimes I pray to god hoping that you’ll one day turn to me.
But I understand for a fact that what’s meant to be is meant to be
And in life I’ve learnt not to push things and to just let it be.
Perhaps I’m not the person, who will make you smile,
Perhaps I’m not the person, who you’d think it’s worth while.
But still I pray that one day you’ll find your love that sets you free
And that she’ll fly with you and both settle on the same tree.
Don’t have to worry much for me because I’m just as willing to set you free
Just in another way because you’re forever special to me.
Don’t ever have to cry for me because I’m willing to let you go,
Not because I don’t love you but because I know you’ll find a better soul.
