I plan on making some variations of this layout...but this is definately a start.
MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE...A BAND I DON'T REALLY LIKE YET THEY WARRANT MAKING A LAYOUT... suggestions welcome, I've been toying with different font colors and I still am working on some things....perhaps the blog entries should have white backgrounds instead of black?? They did originally, but I changed it for some reason... |

It's not bad, but it's pretty default, especially since the banner is really plain. For future reference, try adding more effects to the banner, and maybe a different kind of blog placement, etc.

make modules smaller and the blog bigger until they both fit happily under the image

i love the header. but i dont know if i like the rest that much. but the header makes it worth while

Here ya go...an updated version of my MCR skin/layout
-matched the banner and blogbody/modules as close as I could so that the banner wouldn't stick out over entries. -made the banner into an animated gif. (color scheme matches layout somewhat.) -changed headers in modules to match the header of blog entries. -added gradient effect to blog entries and modules. -fixed a broken link in the playlist. -combined top two modules for a less cluttered look. -replace gradient background with a solid background. Overall, much better than my last effort. Comments welcome.

I'm not TOO fond of My Chemical Romance, but it's a good layout. I especially like the banner. The colors are great. I like the modules too!

Ahh sorry I don't really like the animated banner. I don't think it looks very nice because it seems like abrupt animations and it's choppy. Good efforts though =)
