you see an image. right click, properties. you get the link of that image. you use that exact link (in your xanga, webpage, whatever). that is direct linking. hope that helped.

It's when you use someone else's source for a file. If someone uploads an image to their own server, and you like the image and use the same URL, that is direct linking. It's not good sometimes because it can increase their bandwidth.

Yeah what autumn. said..^^

It's "bad" because it uses peoples bandwith, and it can make their image stop working.

If you like something, and you're going to use it, (like an avatar or something, don't jock it) save it.. then, go to somewhere like imageshack.us and upload it. That way, it doesn't kill their bandwith

O i get it now!! so if u go to properties and then get the url then u copy it then they can like add a code in it and stuff to like show that its theirs? and ya i get it now! thanx
