Do you mean the tsunami, not earthquake?

Earthquake in Indonesia if I happened to be residing in Indonesia.
Terri Schiavo's case if I were to be related to her.
The Pope's death if I were to be Catholic.

However, if I happened to be a Catholic, related to Terri Schiavo, living in Indonesia. Um. I don't know.

You can't just ask "Which is the worst tragedy?" Because the three choices are different kinds of "bad news's", as you would like to call it.

darn i voted for indonesia thinking it was the tsunami. Not that I'm not sad about the pope, but the tsunami was a lot of people. I think it was kind of good they stopped using terri as a way to argue over the laws and stuff. So I think I'm most sad about the Pope.

Well

Not the pope [to me] - Because he was old, he was going to have to die eventually, they shoulda seen it comin'.

Not Terri [to me] - Because they should have pulled the cord, she's been living a rough life and no one should have to live that bad.

Earth Quake [to me] is the worst - Because not then just one person died...nor was it expected.

Well then...it should be the tsunami, not earthquake. The tsunami was a heck of a lot sadder than the other two above. A lot of people were killed.

But I agree with Seon Ho. The events are waaay too different to just choose one

Out of the choices, i would say the pope but if that indonesia earthquake was the Tsunamai instead then i would pick that.

I dunno, I could argue anyway I suppose, but as for a personal view point, I would have to say the Tsunamai.

I am "Catholic" (of sorts--brought up that way anyway) and I say the Tsunamai. Yes, the Pope died, but he was an old man who has lived his life. In the tsunamai, thousands of people died-men, women, and children. Those children hadn't lived their life yet... Terri Schiavo was just a death. It was sad to see her finally go, but in the end, everyone dies. Again, she had lived her life....

The Earthquake. Obviously. The pope is only one man. A lot of people died and got injured as a result of the Earthquake. And as if Indonesia hadn't already been through enough.

That's true. That is why I had picked the tsunami. I guess the media has kind of blown the Pope's death out of proportion. Not like it's not a big deal, but one person dying, as compared to many. You are right, the earthquake was worse news.

exactly what i was thinking. how can you think one old man dying is more sad than a group of innocent people dying? i thought the pope was going to die a long time ago, and terri schiavo was hopeless.

all three cases are very important but i can easily choose because two dont relate to me

-i am not catholic so while its sad that the pope died, he was 80 something years old and at the end of his remarkable life

-terry could not be help...she is dead and her passing is saddening but there was nothing anyone (expect her husband and the law) could do to prolong her life

so i will say tsunami in indonesia, because thousands died and there was need (at least then) for aid fast

the Indonedia earthquake, more people died than just a pope and Trri Sciavo. :/ Terri Schiavo was hopeless, she was already brain-dead. Like someone said up there, Indonesia has been through enough already.

the "worst" event?

I dont know if I would consider the death of a Pope, "BAD" i dont know how its bad. its just really SAD. it is inevitable; it has to happen; its required to happen.
besides the Pope didn't die, just Pope John Paul II. The next Pope is decided 20 days after the previous Pope's death.

terri schiao case? i dont know hwo thats bad either? how is it bad?! its SAD she died after a long legal struggle between the husband who wanted to take away the feeding tube and let her die, and her parents he wanted to keep the feeding tube and let her live. its just a case on assisted suicide, the only reason its news is because of the whole legal battle. asssited suicide has been going on for decades its not new. it certainly isn't bad.

now the earthquake.. thats a different story. you can't predict earthquakes. earthquakes happen all the time believe it or not, but obviously the death of many people through a natural disaster is a very serious thing.
the earthquake is definately the worst..

out of those 3...definately the popes death. nothing seemed to happen after the last quake. the schiavo case in my opinion was a little too overrated. i mean, its a big deal, but there are more ppl dying in iraq right now. bush even stepped out to say something about the entire thing. how many ppl have died in iraq? has he come out and spoken in public about each one??

Terry. mellow.gif Its worst then that the other crap. Had to make her suffer. She was an inch from death and they friggen put the tube back in. If they took it out before, i say leave it out. Or it can be the earthquake. Who gives a damn about the pope.

it was both terri and the pope's times to go, and i believe that if it were possible to ask them they would say the same.

so the earthquake by default, as i dont think that the other two were necessarily 'bad' news

Definitely the earthquake. The topics are unrelated and sad in their own way, that it's hard to choose which one is worse. The earthquake not only killed lots of people, but made circumstances worse because of the preceding tsunami. The Pope just died, he was meant to. It was his time, and it would be hard for him to suffer. If I were Catholic, then I'd choose that. The Schiavo case, not as bad IMO. She was brain damaged for 15 years. She was practically already dead.

i picked the earthquack because...

1) im not catholic, the popes death doesnt impact me tha tmuch and it shouldnt you all that much because popes come and go, people come and go, but natural disasters are more tragic.

2) I don't care much for Terrie because she made her self disabled in the first place cause she a damn bulimec. I don't feel much pity for people who bring them selves to that state. also she WANTED the plug to be pulled, she requested to her husband if she were in a vegitated state to not keep her alive.

Indonesian Earthquake.

Why?

The pope. I'm not catholic. To me, he's just another old man.

Terri Schiavo. Obviously wasn't that serious worldwide since it was only in the papers a maximum of 2 times over here. About her. Whats happening now. Her dead.

Indonesian Earthquake. It killed the most people. People who shouldn't of died due to the stupid nature and its course. It affects most people as (like the tsunami) we will get people coming round asking for donations to them rolleyes.gif

For me, the worse news that happened on last month was Pope John Paul II's death. It saddens me, even though it has been a month he had died already. He was a good man. A very good man. sad.gif

Definitely not Schiavo. Nor the Pope, though that was a lot closer to the tragedy of the earthquake. Earthquake.

you're right... it wasn't terri's time to go...

that was 15 years ago... she was dead already.

They are all HORRIBLE. And all effected so many people...I'll just say the hurricane..just because so many more lives were taken. But they are all really bad...

The earthquake I guess. What's the Terri Schiavo case about?

edit;_
Nevermind.

Terri Schiavo Case
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Terri Schiavo, the 41-year-old brain-damaged woman who became the centerpiece of a national right-to-die battle, died Thursday morning, nearly two weeks after doctors removed the feeding tube that had sustained her for more than a decade.

i thought the earthquake in indonesia was the tsunami so i picked that one. since it isnt, i can't decide between the pope or the earthquake.

Earthquake/Tsunami in Indonesia.
That killed so much people.
Terri Chiavo case; i was kind of towars the side that she should be put to rest. Her soul should be set free; not trapped inside a dead body.
Pope; He did a lot of good things. But he lived a good life.

Well the Pope, obviously...

who cares about the pope? he lasted long enough as it is stubborn.gif he's jstu one person, and he died a peaceful death after a long and probalby rewarding life, he doens't deserve much simpathy.

Earthquake in Indonesia for sure, that killed many people, and probably while they were in great pain and suffering. and with all these lives lost the families of the ppl who ided are crushed, as well as freinds. So many people got hurt from those, and you think the POPE dying is the most horrible?!!?

what religion can do to people is scary.

just scary.
