No, this is not another "how do I get rid of my acnes" topic.

I'm just asking, is there an age limit for using Proactiv?

I'm 12 and my mommy always be telling me "oh, you can't use this and that because it's for older people, here, try this, it's for people your age". My sister told me to try Proactiv but I'm just wondering, is there an age limit to use it? I don't think whatever my mommy told me was true. Thanks a bunch. <3

i dont think so, 12 year old is a good enough age to use any product. i start to get acne at age 11 and i begged my mom to buy proactiv for about 5 year until she finally brought it. im reading to label and it doesnt have an age limit except it says keep out of reach children.

You mean age minimum? I think 12 is a fine age to use it. It's not like you're 6 years old or something.

my mom says that too, for some acne medications.
it's true, some of it isn't allowed for people our age.
but no, i don't think there is one for pro-activ.
it didn't really help me though :/
it did for a week, then it kidna...stopped. so yeah, and it's pricey.

Maybe your skin might react differently to the chemicals but, best bet is to talk to a dermatologist(sp?)

I think 12 and over are okay. But under 12, no way. Cause you can tell, I mean in every medicines and everywhere you go. It's always say 12 and over can use this and that.

I've seen teenagers use it and it was okay, but I guess 12 is okay too.

nope there is no age limit! pro activ does work good tho, my sister used it and it cleared her face up! too bad my mom hadn't bought any for me! gosh, she decides she wants to "experiment" with Laotian acne crap on my face to see if they work, so she can tell her friends so they can use it on their children...

I wouldn't reccomend ProActiv if you have sensitive skin. I used it and I broke out even more. mellow.gif

There isn't an age limit on the box, I checked. ALTHOUGH, you shouldn't use it at an early age unless you've got major acne. The thing is, the chemicals in the proactive solution system (cleanser, toner, and moisturizing lotion) could be harmful to your face at such a young age. If your face isn't dramatically breaking out with acne, then I recommend you don't use it. And I agree with [F]leeza because my other sister in law had sensitive skin and her face got worse, I heard.

nah. I don't think there's an age limit. it usually says, "keep out of reach of children" and you're not a child, a pre-teen i must say :D so yea, u can take pro-activ. if u really wanna know, call a doctor perhaps?
