THE IRISH FAMILY

EPISODE GUIDE:

SEASON ONE

EPISODE ONE: A DAY AT HOME: Meet the Randal family. Father, Michael. The sons Donal (23) and Daniel (17). The mother Eileen and the daughter (14) Catherine. In the first episode Michael tries to give up drinking for a month because he got drunk and crashed the car. Donal and Daniel get into a war because Donal makes Daniel’s girlfriend dump him. Catherine goes looking for her lost watch.

EPISODE TWO: BOWLING: The family go to a bowling alley. Michael and Daniel enjoy a claw machine, Donal discovers that he has a talent for the sport and Eileen and Catherine fight over what size shoe Catherine wears.

EPISODE THREE: THE NEW OLD FIRM: The family are disgusted to find that a protestant family have moved in next door. Catherine is the only one who tries to befriend them. Donal and Daniel are brought into police custody for trying to steal their car. Michael cuts off their electricity supply. Eileen stays quiet because the entire family forgot her birthday.

EPISODE FOUR: TRAIN JOURNEY: The family decide to go down to Dublin for a day but because the car is broke they have to take a train journey. The bad thing is that the train breaks down and they are stuck there for hours. Daniel and Catherine go around getting money off passengers by pretending that they’re homeless. Michael meets a very religious woman and argues to her about God. Eileen tries to sleep but is constantly distracted. Donal annoys the train driver all day long.

EPISODE FIVE: OBSESSION: Michael is obsessed with an old friend that he met because he thinks that he’s trying to kill him because he stole Eileen from him. Eileen goes to a family reunion and fights with her father. Donal has his first SERIOUS girlfriend and thinks it might be time to finally settle down.

EPISODE SIX: SWIMMERS: The family go to the swimmers. Donal goes searching for his lost glasses. Eileen gets stuck in a toilet. Daniel tries to get over his fear of water. Catherine meets her first boyfriend and Michael is afraid of showing his stomach.

EPISODE SEVEN: DONAL MEETS MISS PERFECT: Donal meets his perfect girl, Niamh. They move into their own apartment. Catherine looks after a doll and pretends that it is a real baby. Michael starts to shop at “St. Vincent DePaul”. George discovers that he “likes” Eileen. Daniel has an evil driving instructor.

EPISODE EIGHT: MEN AND POKER: Michael, George, Ian and Donal all have a poker game. Eileen enters a cooking contest. Daniel discovers that he loves to write graffiti. Catherine has a talent for Irish dancing.

EPISODE NINE: MARRIAGE PROBLEMS: When Ian and Victoria have a fight, she kicks him out and he moves in with the family. Daniel gets high on drugs. Eileen tries to convince Victoria to let Ian move back in. Catherine has a fight with Niamh while Donal gets a part in a sitcom.

EPISODE TEN: BARBER: Daniel gets a job as a barber. Donal is in shock when Niamh announces that she wants a baby. Michael tries to make Eileen forgive him after he accidentally slaps her. Catherine looks to Ian as a father figure.

EPISODE ELEVEN: RADIO: Eileen gets a job on the radio. Donal breaks his arm and is hospitalized. Michael begs Ian not to put up a union jack flag (for his own good); Donal looks for a particular watch. Catherine gets drunk and experiences her first ever hangover.

EPISODE TWELVE: CHRISTMAS: It’s Christmas and to make more money, Donal illegally sells cigarettes. Eileen won’t tell Michael what she wants as a present. Daniel and a few mates take part in the annual pub quiz night. Catherine has a mental breakdown and spends Christmas in her room. Ian and George get jobs as Santa’s.

EPISODE THIRTEEN: JUST LIKE AN AMERICAN TEEN: Catherine gets a job at the new burger shop, “McFrie’s”. Michael gets food poisoning (from “McFrie’s). Niamh suspects that Donal might “pop the question”. Daniel meets up with his first ever girlfriend. Eileen kisses George. Donal is caught up in a bomb scare. Ian becomes a beggar after getting sacked.

EPISODE FOURTEEN: STALKER (1): Daniel gets really obsessed with a girl and begins to stalk her. Niamh gets strange cravings. Catherine is humiliated because she has to wear braces. Eileen learns how to make the world’s best stew. Michael and George get their own newspaper column and start to get on each others nerves.

EPISODE FIFTEEN: DEATH (2): After Donal died in the last episode, everybody is distraught. Niamh contemplates killing herself. Michael gets put in prison. Daniel can’t stop crying. Catherine loses faith in God and Eileen starts to think about what chance you have of getting into heaven.


I am 11 so when I turn 16 or 18 I am handing this in to BBC!

But in nearly every episode you have, it seems there is drama and angst.
Such as
Episode 1 with the girlfriend drama
2: The shoes being fought over
3:A birthday was forgoteen, racist neighbors =/
4:
