Would you end a relationship if it meant making sure that your boyfriend is going to the right college for his future and career rather than just to be with his girlfriend and take care of her????
My boyfriend may be going to Towson University to be with me. He says they have a good teaching program, but so does West Virginia University. No matter what, I think the decision will be based on what he thinks I want. What should I do??? I want the best for him. It's HIS future afterall.  We had a fight over this last night and I dunno what to do...

its best to let him decide that for hisself. if you want the best for him then you wont try to hold him back.

well, if he really wants to stay with you THAT much, then just let him make the decision for himself. you have to remember; just because you think it's best for him, doesn't mean it is.

If you knew he was staying just for you.....then I think you should make a sacrifice. Break up with him so he can go to his dream school....or tell him you want a break...and want him to go to this school..tell him you two could always keep in touch...sometimes you have to make sacrifices for the person you love.

He should know whats best for himself. If he thinks staying with you is the best thing for him, then you should respect that desition and let him. Even if his heart is bigger than his brain.. your sapposed to follow your heart, right? ^^ |

I'm in that same situation... my boyfriend doesn't look at any letters he gets from other colleges that aren't in the state. He is going to a cuny just to be with me, and I know how you're feeling. But, if he thinks that that's the best choice for him, and since it also has a good teaching program (my boyfriend uses a similar reason), you should let him. I guess you should be happy that he wants to be closer to you...

seriously, its not really what you know its who you know... i got some crappy teachers in my school and how did they get the job? they probably knew someone that knew someone...as far as quality of education... you can have the best teachers in the world but if you dont put in the effort it wont mean squat... also the student to teacher ratio may be better at towson...

i say, talk to him about this. tell him your feelings. just straight up tell him that you don't want him to come over to ur school just becuz of you. yanno? if he truly cares about you, he'll understand how you feel. tell him that.
