They'll be able to tell he called (they record incoming as well as outgoing calls) but I don't know if you'll get charged.

It depends on your service. I know for sure that Tmobile shows ALL your incoming/outgoing calls. I'm not too sure about Cingular, Verizon or Sprint though.

Yeah, it depends on your service. T-Mobile will show all calls, incoming or outgoing.

^ Oooh wow I never knew that =O

If you called your ex boyfriend in RI, did he call you using a Cingular phone? If so and since you're on the family plan you probably have mobile to mobile or w/e it is, it MIGHT not show up lol.

And in any case, about the prepaid thing. You CAN just buy a regular cell that's on prepaid, then buy the cards, input the number in, and that's about it. It's not connected to your credit card, unless you want it to be. It really depends...

Depends on your service. You can go check online, there might a possible answer for you question. Oh, and I wouldn't really recommend pre-paid phones. They're much expensive than just regular cell plans. And I don't know about the age for pre-paid phones..

verizon logs all calls, which can be accessed online.

it also logs your actual location (area code wise) where you made the call, has statistics about when you call, etc.

i'm sure other providers would have something of the sort...

My friend bought the AT&T Go Phone.. I don't think you NEED to be 18, since my friend got the GO phone last year. And that phone you have to pay for anyways, which is like 75 bucks for some low-end nokia.. whistling.gif

My boyfriend's half-brother owns a cell phone store. He said that all you do is buy a phone and then buy a card which has a certain amount on it, input the number, blah blah blah, and presto you can use it! WHY should it matter if you're younger than 18? It's your choice to buy a prepaid phone, and it's not connected to a credit card, so most likely you don't have to be 18.

^ Not that I heard of.. since my boyfriend was going to get me prepaid a while back, but now I've got a plain. Perhaps it depends on wher eyou get the prepaid anyway.

You're not signing a contract.. so I don't think it would matter. mellow.gif

yes it does log your calls. just not on your phone.

just because your phone doesn't show it doesn't mean it's not logged.

you can log onto your verizon account online to see the usage stats.
you can only see them online, not on your phone.

Yes, a card. You really should look this up at the Cingular.com site. Anyway, you buy a card, you input the number, then something happens and there you go! I'm not for sure what else happens since I've never gone prepaid. All I know is about the input number thingy. And for the card, you don't have to keep dialing the number, it's like.. saved or something. And then you use it like a regular cell until the minutes are up.

yea, and be careful when you buy that car which one you get. personally, i think for reliablility you should get a honda, or any type of import, which are generally more reliable...

oh you meant CARD... ok... well you can just buy the cards at like... target or somewhere...
