The guy I like is kind of a flirt. And he's my friend and only likes me as a friend. I figure it wouldn't do any good to just get jealous everytime he flirts with a girl. I want to get over him, but how do you get over a crush? Is it possible? Has anyone ever felt like this before?

Reminds me of just how I'm in.
He's my crush, but we're more like friends. He's the biggest flirt I've ever met, and I do get jealous. Lol. But, well. You can't really get over crushes easily. Just think of him more as a friend. I'm sorry I'm not much help. Hope you can find real advice! Good luck. |

Why would you want to get over a crush? I love them. It's fun and exciting. Sure there's drama from time to time but overall it's the best. At times, to me, it's better than the actual relationship. Where as the foundation isn't as serious - you're just having fun. He has the freedom to do whatever he wants and vice versa.
I've decided that whenever I feel an ounce of flirtatiousness towards a friend I'm going to just go along with it. It's better that way. My life revolves around having fun. When I think too much into things it makes my motto really hard to follow. |

to get over a guy i just tell my friend to say that i like some one else and then soon enough i do..or i fond some one that likes me and then go gaga for them..
I KNOW WHAT CHA R feeling! my crush did some bad stuff with this girl in a shower but there is nothing i can do about it so i must move on. If this guy wont just like you then why should you like him? |

as for getting over a crush ... it is posible...i have done it!
sometimes the "stirings" just leave and thats it, its over. Some times i just convince my self that the guy is retarded for not liking me back and that helps too |

Yeah, that's happened to me before- my previous crush was a huge flirt and I would get jealous everytime he did flirt with another girl. But then, it turned out that he liked me, so we went out. But then, he couldn't stop flirting and we broke up...

Man - I know how you feel. I've had way too many experiences where I couldn't get a guy out of my head for months. I've foud it helpful to get busy with friends, tv or anything else that will keep you from thinking about your guy too long. Also, the more you talk about him to other people, the more you'll tire out your feelings for him. Writing down your feelings also helps. Whatever you do, stay busy and DONT listen to sappy love songs!

yea I've felt the same way you're feeling right now and the best thing to do is just keeping telling yourself you don't like him or just go up to him and tell him you don't like him. I did just that and felt a lot better

you can't exactly get over someone just like that.. but it'll take time casue you know, you can't always control your feelings about someone. this happened to me before. like i had this big crush on someone, and i figured they didnt like me back.. so like i stopped. then i liked him again.. and again so far this is my 8th time liking him. pretty crazy but yeah. well just think about the negative things about him i guess. like imagine him picking his butt or his nose&sucking his own d**k. idk

i'm facing the same problem...
there's someone i have liked for nearly a year and my friends told me he liked me a year ago. i still like him, but it doesn't seem like he likes me back anymore, if he ever did. and the problem is, no one knows i like him. and i want to get over him because he's moving away in a month and i'll never see him again. still, everytime i think of him and the fact i'll never see him again, i start crying.. i've tried forgetting him, i've tried getting a new crush, i've tried thinking about all the negative things about him, but nothing works. he seems so perfect. i don't know what to do. i guess you could give it time? that's what i'm doing. |

yea i felt the same.. way like someone said you could get a new crush to get ur mind of him.. for me it was kinda hard to get over someone tho.. it takes time... once you make up your mind that you dont like him try not to think about him.. this happen towards the end of last yr.. but it was easier for me to forget cuz we were moving in the summer

wow i felt like that also!! omg there was a boy that i liked and he was my cousins 4th cousin and he as cute but allthough he was tahitian and couldn't speak english only french
but all i did was think about i have more time ontill i can have a crush its like i don't have to hurry... i still have high school to go to that is alot of time... but trust me u will get over him. just think of himi as if fhe was one of your friends and look at him like u would look at your friend... i used to have that problem but after that i got over it... so i am guessing that u will too!
