You can get one at geocities. Except the ones with www.yourname.com you have to pay for.

yea those are called domains .. and you have to pain for them but you can get free domain redirection from diffrent sites ( go to google.com and search "free domain redirection") and what it will do is like say you have a site @ geocities.com and you sign up for domain redirection somewere instead of your url being www.geocities.com/yourusername .. it will be www.yournameorw/e.com and it direct people hoo type www.yournameorw/e.com or w/e to your geocities site

Well...there's hostultra which provides the following all for free:

Unlimited Data Transfer
Unlimited Disk Space
100mbps Network Connection
99.9% Uptime
Free Sub Directory ( hostultra.com/~you )
Cool yourname.vzz.net URL!
Free Subdomains ( Many domains to choose from! )
Free Domain Hosting ( yourdomain.com )
Custom Domain DNS Control ( A/CNAME/MX Records )
Browser and FTP Uploading
PHP / MySQL*
Unlimited Domains / Unlimited Subdomains
Free Search Engine Submission

With the MySQL you'll need to pay a one time fee. But everything else is pretty good.

are you talking about hosting your site? or some type of site builder? because with a site builder your going to be limited. And free hosting is never going to be fast. check out my site (click on my signature), go to the contact page, and let me know if I can help you.

http://freewebs.com
Freewebs.com is free and pretty simple, and there is no adware to it like angelfire.com or tripod.com.

well i went to hostultra and tried the free hosting
but to get that you have to signup
and if you want to signup you have to put your address and phone number
do they send you like bills and stuff like that cuz its free and why would they want your phone number?
im just asking in case because this happened before

Yeah, you can get .tk and it's totally free. You also get an email addy redirection. The thing is that if your site doesn't get a certain amount of traffic in a certain time, they will cut off the domain. I used it b4.

That wouldn't be hosting your own website, that would a domain registration. And you can't get a domain registration for free. Where'd you get that idea from? o.o

yourdomain.com is a free web hosting site? are you sure...... maybe that time it wasnt free... i thought it wasnt free when i was in that site. but thanks for the heads up. i'll check there. and to alvin_ward155... google? lol......i think everyone should stop saying "find it at google"...it's REALLY ANNOYING. that's like the ugliest answer i hate to see.

edit/

hahahaha ooops.. i read it wrong. you mean it provides the followings.. rofl.. i thought you gived us the link of free domain website...anyways whatever happened to yourdomain... now it's like not working anymore O_O;; aww that sucks. anyways i tried hostultra... it wasnt that good... to me that's what i thought. maybe i was in the wrong time because that time... i put my password to get there, but NOTHING.. and ERROR and sometimes a blank page comes out. i did it once more again like last week, but i gived up because it happened again.. and yes i know i did the right way..because that's the password i always use... and i never ever mistaken it... and yes i try the forgot password... it's the same password that i had. it's really sad... to me. and mad that it happened like that. or maybe i'll try it once more and see if it will work this time.
