Anyone listen to the Format? Like them?

- First Single
- Lets Make this Moment a Crime

The Format has a sort of "happy-go-lucky" sound.

Download "Let's Make this Moment a Crime", too. I think I prefer that song over "First Single".

They do indeed have a happy-go-lucky sound but their lyrics aren't as happy-go-lucky at some times.
In Tie the Rope:
Just tie the rope
and kick the chair
Just leave me hanging there gasping for air
Yeah don't mind me three feet from the ceiling

My friend and I were listening to it in the car one day and we were like "Awww, so happy." Then we listened to the lyrics, stopped dancing, and were like wtf.
I can't say anything with my favorite band as Bright Eyes.
But anyway to get to the point
They are wonderful.

^ Heh, I love bands who do that... where the vocals/melody sound super cheerful but the lyrics are about suicide, murder, or heartbreak. It creates irony.

...I like irony.

The Format is a really cool band, for real. The lead singer is really friendly. My friend and I hung out with them after their show in KC last spring. They're not bad live either, just not my thing.

^Yeah the lead singer is a doll. He is pretty funny too. They are actually pretty damn good live, sound a lot like they do on their CD.

i have indeed listened to the format before, but nothing more but fist single, sore thumb, even better yet, and janet, because theyre on purevolume and i deleted ares, but im getting it back today

haha yeah, Senses Fail and Saves The Day do that a lot.

but back to the topic. I LOVE THE FORMAT. I've been into them for a good year now, ever since I heard The First Single, it's been love.
