From this slumber I wake to a world outside the norm
Nothing is familiar, everything is odd
Their bodies are the same but their souls are different
Nothing like those that I've known before
Fearing that the world as I know it has changed
I actually open my eyes to see that I am alone
Alone in my bed dreaming about being alone
Yet the lonliness I dreamed of
Was more than just physical solitude
The lonliness was from failing to recognize
these brown eyes staring back at me

Hmmm... I like it. It seems a bit different from your other work for some reason, but it's still good =]

Thats because it is. I have no clue what was going through my mind when I was writing this but it just came out all of a sudden when I was doodling on a napkin at lunch. It is a little... dark compared to what I normally write.

loneliness* (Sorry, I had to.)

The third line is my favorite. This piece is actually similar to what I was working on before I decided to give up on it and browse better pieces of writing. "And for that moment, you lose yourself; you question who you really are - and you realize you never did know." In any case, it is darker than your usual - but perhaps that's why I especially like this one.
