Ok well my "friend", i guees i'll use his nickname, Donald keeps getting inot arguments over stuff we had to do for like home work or whatvere and then i'll say something like, "We had to do something on witchcraft" and then automatically responds with "Witchcraft is an unforgivable sin in the eyes of God."

My gosh it's annoying how he brings God into everything and is appaled because I'm an atheist. It's not my fault I was raised that way. How do i tell him to stop using church and God as excuses and evasive manuvers?

By the way, he is a cry baby if you yell at him.(i.e. you wont let him help you with something, wont let him copy last nights homework, tell him to leave you alone) oh and don't say just ignore him because then he gets even more annoyinhg by saying, "God won't let you into heaven if you sin Rikki, that means you have to help others, now help me under stand why you are ignoring me" My goshness.

Yeah i guess i could tell him but then even if i say stop it he'll start crying. the other day I told him to satop saying , "Awwww" in his high pitched squeaky voice and he said well you dont have to say it so mean and yell at me. I said in a normal tone that was kinda quiet since we were in class.

Well i think just tell him straight foward to his face.. dont yell at him just tell him to stop bringing god into every single arguement... he should understand... biggrin.gif

tell him directly. not like, "WELL GOD SUCKS AND U DO TOO" cause then ur going to be lynched an angry christian mob. let him know how u feel about his reasoning and say what u have to say, affirmatively and stand your ground, but not offensively and looking to hurt someone. hope that made sense.

God is a forgiving and loving god. I think he'll understand if you say nothing instead of saying something mean.

try telling him something like that.

Some people just somehow manage to incorporate the Almighty into each and every one of their conversations. I can't imagine how they live their lives with God being their Earth and themselves the powerless moon. Like all shall perish without thy (thou? thee?) mighty God.

Normal speeches about God are acceptable, but

Your "friend" is being selfish. He's using God as an excuse to steal answers from you. He's the one that's sinning, not you. You shouldn't be the one worrying about going to hell.

Judging from your brief portray of Donald, talking to him probably won't work.. it might launch him into another religious lecture. I suggest you ignore him completely. God didn't say we couldn't ignore people, did he?

ehh wow. im a christian and i dont act this way...so hopefully you wont view us like that.
im sure his intentions were good, trying to make you believe also..(cuz that's what we do) but he's overdoing it. maybe you two shouldnt hang out for a while until he can control those beliefs and get them right.

... He's abusing the presence of God in people's lives. Everyone sins one way or another, IMHO.

And anyway, he's NOT a good friend at all if he's treating you this way. If he was a true friend, he'd look past religion. It looks like he's trying to give you the guilt trip. This is the kind of friend you DEFINITELY don't want to hang around with. Not only is he trying to conform you to his religion, but is using his religion to get his way for everything. Don't let him do this to you. You deserve a better friend who can understand you. I suggest you end this friendship with him as soon as possible. Tell him how you really feel about him trying to push his religion on you.

i would just tell him straight out that he's annoying but that would be mean n not helpful. lol! but yea u just need to tell him how u feel about him. if it were me i would tell him to shut the f**k up cuz he's getting on my nerves. i've had that kind of situation n i talked to her about it. u just need to let him know how u feel n it doesnt work then just dont be his friend n e more cuz y should u deal with htat shit?

haha yea totally ignore his existance if he doesn't stop.

(on a side note, if a hot girl kept telling me about god and stuff i'd be like... go away. but if the girl kept tellhing me about i'd be like... wub.gif shows my personality a bit. i guess it means my opinion can't be trusted.)
