mario vasquez. fan favorite to win the competition
has withdrawn from the competition due to
"personal reasons" no more is known about his departure
except that it was sudden and that
nikko smith will take the open slot left by this departure.


expect more details during Idol this week.

yea i heard about this on KISS FM... -.- this one guy said he thought it was because Mario has a criminal record that's about to come out...

he quit huh? lol I wonder why...most people would kill to be in the top 12. But i never really liked him so much, my mom thinks he's the best on the show so she'll be all upset lol. But i'm glad Nikko is taking his place, Big suprise for him, huh?

i heard this on the radio and i was so happy! Mario was actually one of my least favorites >__< and i'm SO glad that Nikko is taking his spot, Nikko really deserves it! I was so upset when he didnt intially make it into the top 12! but im glad that they are giving him this oppurtunity, everything happens for a reason :D

i heard about this, but i have never watched american idol so i don't really care. some of my friends at school were saying he was good last week though.

hey yeah i just read an article about how he dropped out. i wanted him to go far, he was such a cutie, and he could sing. but does anyone really care for the show? anyways nikko smith will be replacing him.

Mario withdrew himself because of the time commitment and pressure of American Idol. :/ At least that's what I heard.

He was one of my favorites, too! Boo.

I'm kinda glad he left because now Nikko gets a second chance. I felt that he was robbed when he wasn't able to move forward to the top 12. He deserves to be there... more than Constantine that's for sure. _dry.gif

ahh~ finally, someone agrees with me! I was so upset after watching the result show last Wednesday. Constantine does NOT deserve to be in the top 12! >__< he has SO many fans though, only because he is representing "rock". Him selling out his band made me lose MORE respect for him -__-

wow i should've seen american idol. i dont know it bored me out...but the girl who was like 13 or 15..did she go to the next level? the outgoing, energetic girl... who said to the judge guy "if i lose, you have to go to my senior prom with me" lol... i hope she was kidding. he's like an old man ehh.... anyways, mario..he sounds familiar cause i saw like 2 episodes of american idol. is he the guy with funky hair?

It's sad that when I woke up 2 days ago this was a top story on the radio, hahahah.

I am just happy that Nikko Smith is back. I really thought that he should have went to the top twelve before Scott.

No one, not even his mother or brother really knows what going on with Mario. But I don't watch American idol so don't really care.
