so, my school has a new head and she's planning to build a gym at our school. Personally, i think its a total waste of time, money and energy because not many students like to stay in school after the bell rings. And now, she's forcing all students to donate money for the stupid gym.

Does your school have a gym? And if you do, do you actually use the accomodations? pinch.gif

my school has a gym, weight room/field house (its located by the football field), out door basket ball courts, tennis courts (in the winter they put a bubble over the tennis courts, so the winter sports can practice in the bubble, since theres the basketball teams practice in the gym) a wrestleing room/ mult-purpose room (next to the gym), a baskball diamond and 2 soccer fields.... my catholic school is really sports active... _smile.gif

A theater and a gym... The theater is used for assemblies and whatnot. The gym is for sports and P.E. and stuff like that. But usually we go outside and play at the tennis courts, in the upper grass field, etc. The gym is pretty big compared to other schools... This one school has a gymnasium and for badminton, it only had 6 courts while our school had 10, even with the bleachers pulled out. They don't have bleachers, so yea cool.gif

But no, my school is wasting money to pay for the people that walk around the school and yell at people to get to class.. mad.gif Eugh I hate them.

yeah...we have 2 gyms. well, one is an "auxilary" room...where some phys. ed classses are. the main one is for phys. ed class though. then we have a third one [it's brand new], which is used as an all-purpose room. [ cafeteria, and gym thats used for after-school basketball games ]

why do you think its a bad idea to have a gym? idk...maybe it soudns weird to me...but since u live in another country, i guess you guys arent obligated to take phys. ed.

For rallies/assemblies.

We have two. The old gym and the new gym. The new gym was opened in 2002 and personally, I think it's a waste of money. The only good thing about it is that it sorta makes the school look a little better.

yeah, we use it, too...for practices and stuff. we practice badminton in there, and PE too.

but what makes me mad is that we spent a whole whoopin 7 million (or billion?) dollars on our new fields. sure, they're nicer than any school i have ever seen...but what a waste of money >:|

does your school have PE?

My school has one gym. Inside it has a weight room, indoor basketball court, and an indoor pool laugh.gif

All we use is the weightroom. Before when I was on the bball team we went in the weight room and seldomly used the Court. ALl of us preferred to practice and play on the court's outside.

I guess part of our gym is a waste since noone really uses the Indoor Court. Weight room is being used by wrestling and bball when its bball time. THe pool, yeah swimming... but we also have an outdoor pool and they use that one instead of the indoor one... so yeah

I think my school should be re-built entirely. Period.

Why? It's around 60 years old and it's so dusty. Some rooms, they don't even have real curtains or anything. They're all broken or they have big blankets hanging instead (at least that's what I think it is).

We have two gyms. The small, least used one is alright.

But the big and most commonly used one isn't in good shape. Let's just say that I found out that it was burnt down before.

My school's so poor. Yet it's in a pretty rich area with big houses and all.

Well, In my school, we have the big, normal gym. Off of it, we have the little gym, which is a very small gym. Its for wrestling. Then, outside, we have a weight room, with like exercise equipment and everything. A lot of people use the weight room. We got it from a Grant, so, it has to be open to the public, so, anyone can use it from this time to another. It's pretty cool. A lot of people stay after school and use it too!

Yeah.. My school has a gym. It's right next to the wrestling room but it's really small. The wrestlers are pretty much the only people who use it.

The highschool has a really big one, though. I duno how many people use it, but they probably use it a lot for sports.

And how can she make you donate your own money???? huh.gif

We have two gyms (the "new gym" and the "old gym", original names, huh?). One is for sports, assemblies, and such, and the other one is for the Phys Ed classes.
I like the weight room, but it is usually crowded with football players.

My school has 4 gyms (rather large), and 2 track fields. Um, does our school use all of them? A definite answer..Yes!

robb0 has 2 gyms?!?! wow... does that includes with the curtain lol... anyways i think it''s okay... because having gyms are okay... cause like we need more exercise in empty spaces by playing basketeball, baseball, tennis, volleyball, etc. inside the gym stadium.

We have two gyms, both aren't that big but it better then nothing. A gym in the basement and a gym near our lunchroom.

Gym is required for our HS credit.
