I got a ticker off tickerfactory.com and when I put it on my xanga.. I can't see the text on it because the file makes it's text black..and I need to give the image some kind of background to make the text show up.

Here is the exampe stuff it gives to paste as the html code:

<a href="http://www.TickerFactory.com/">
<img border="0" src="http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/d/3;10501;0;0;0/c/0/t/-1/k/a0dc/weight.png"></a>

Hm.. I dont see anything dark about it. It's all rainbow.. colorful. :-\

But if you want to change it anyways.. I think you can go to their homepage, sign in, and change the 'style' of it. =\ I wouldn't know how because I have never used ticketfactory before.

You can't change it on the site.. they have set colours and stuff. I made a css thingy to change it myself though.. here it is.. works great.
