Do you know your way to your house/school/church?
Even though you've been living in that state for more than 5 or 6 years,
don't you get any troubles telling the directions to people on how to get there?

I have that problem. I lived in Shoreline, Washington for 3 years so far.
And, I still don't know the streets to my apartment. I always say like,
"It's near Costco and Magic Dragon. Just go from there and I'll show
you where to go." And I also have to say "Right, Left, Stop" ehh yeah.
I guess I don't really pay attention to the roads when my mom drives.
So that means I don't memorize the street names and what exit it is.
Well I know my street is Bagley. But they question me like which Bagley.
I asked my apartment manager, kinda stupid of me to do that but I did
just in case if someone ask me again. So yeah.... even they tell me, I forget.
If I write in the paper or in my diary, I forget or lose it. Ehh... yeah... that's just my life. How are you going with knowing your way?

I can navigate my way through my city as well as San Jose.
I kind of need to, since I walk all over the place and give directions when driving with others.

I've lived here in Burnaby for 12 years, and I can't get to Metrotown, a mall in the same town, or give directions to it. I don't think I even remember what street my high school is on.

And only 2 years until I learn how to drive, too! That'll be interesting...

lol susan where do you come up with these topics?
hehe, well the answer to your question i'm usually horrible at giving directions. I know the main roads and everything, but i mean the lil streets you turn on or whatever..eh..lol not good at that part. Usually i say, "oh well it's right next to chevys" or some store or somethan. lol i mean the only time i actually give out directions or somethan is when someone needs to know the way to my house or church or somethan, so i just mapquest it and read it over the phone. hehe i guess that's cheating

Yes, I know my way around place. I don't know things like many street names, because I have a strong sense of direction.

ok, heres a good question. How old are you? cuz the only place I knew how to get to before i turned 15 was school, because I had to walk to/from everyday. But as soon as I started driving, I knew where EVERYTHING was. I know this area like none other. every movie theatre, every highway, every fast food joint every mall. I know it all. If its important, I can get u there. So yeah. Before that I was confused as to where up the street was. :D

I know how to get to school, work, cousin's houses, the mall and to the movies. I'm bad with street names but give me a map and I'll figure it out in a jiffy.

I know my way around the city, although I can't give clear directions to someone else. I'm afraid I'll make them get lost.

I don't specifically know the street names so if people ask for directions, i just say something like, "take the next right" or something...
i've been living here for 4 years, but I don't really know street NAMES.

I know my way around everywhere around here and I've only been living here for two years! >=D

Before I got my permit I would walk to wherever I wanted or had to go so I had to know all of the streets and turns and crap x]

Sooo... driving for me is easy now that I know where everything is and how to get there >=D

I know how to get to places, but I have a hard time telling people where to go. I've lived in Imperial Beach pretty much my whole life, except for those three years I was in Guam due to my dad being stationed there, and I don't really know any of the streets. I can walk around and not get lost, but I'd have a hard time giving directions.

Pssh yea. Of course, I've been pretty sheltered and since I've never really gone out to different places very often, it's hard for me to remember. My boyfriend has photographic memory, lol. He can see a place once and remember how to get there for life or something... lol It's scary... But at least when he's there we won't get lost! lol.

But I know my way around since I actually started walking around my town area place.. thingy. But I barely know how to get anywhere in San Diego. pinch.gif I get lost easily if it's outside my neighborhood area.

i've been living in my city for 10 years, and it's really small, so i usually know my way around the whole place.

my school is two blocks from my house, it would be sad if i didnt know the way there. plus, i walk anyway.
church isnt that far away, in my city as well.

I used to have the same problem until I started driving then I was basically obligated to look at street signs and know where places are and know how to give directions.

Haha same here!!! I dislike when people ask me where to go, because I suck at it. And they just laugh out loud because I don't know my street and the directions to my apartment. It sucks, but... that's life for me. It's a very difficulty situation for me when people ask me for the directions to the places where I need to go. So I rather go with the people who knows the place well haha.

I'm pretty good at navigating through the streets here in Monterey Park, down in SoCa. I've been living in this particular house for 6 years. I know most of the streets in my other home too... up in Portland, Oregon. Pretty darn cool.
