Okay.. I'm not so sure if this belongs in homework, so i just put it here.. so move it if you want... or close if it's already made.
i used to care A LOT about school, where i used to put 100 percent effort on everything (studying, homework and listening). just yesterday, i forgot to do my homework. >< no.. i forgot for real, i never even knew it was assigned. anyways, i also failed two tests.. ya, it was my fault.. >< but it was math and science.. and science we got time to study in class... and it was my fault.. >< how do i care again? i used to try hard in school because i wanted to beat someone's mark.. >< how do i become more interested in school? i can never pay attention to any teacher, i would rather stare at the wall, ceiling or even ground.. without thinking/daydreaming than listening.. >< i have a problem. any tips? and have you ever lost interest in school? how do you regain it? |

i understand...i like to take things one at a time...if you think of alllll the work you have to do when you get home, it can become a drag =/
i guess your motivations gone too..if trying hard to beat someone's mark got you better grades, i'd try that |

I lost my motivation long time ago. So instead, I skipped a day of school, did nothing, and reliezed, during the day time, I might as well go to skool and do my thang.

think of why you're in school in the first place to motivate you - to learn, to get farther in life. its hard i know, but just try.

No, I never will.. but I went through a period where I would do my homework in the morning or not do it at all. But I still cared about it.
How I found interest in it? Well I saw my report card grades and that encouraged me to try harder. And seriously, all you need is a goal. A goal for the time you're at school.. Like for instance, my goal: Valedictorian. |

set a planned schedule of what to do, like when to study, eat, do English homework, do math homework, etc..Motivate yourself by reminding yourself how much your parents would be so proud (maybe lie to yourself and say your parents would give you everything you ever wanted heh), think about your future as well

Start with focusing on the teacher's voice. Pretend it's a game and you notice certain random words when the teacher speaks. Eventually you'll pay attention in class again.

Yeah, that's how I feel. Freshman and some of sophomore year, I was more focused on school and homework and stuff, thus I would get better grades. But then, I started doing really badly and not caring at all... which is bad especially since this is junior year and my grades are important.

i know what u mean man, in 8th grade i used to get 90's in everything and then once highschool started, i got all lazy. I'm a sophomore now n I barely get 90's nemore, all my grades on my report cards were in the 80s n 70s. The only 90s I got was in gym lol.
I wanna try n get my grades up, but for some reason I can't seem to do anything about it. |

I did long time ago, but not anymore... I like school a lot. It's boring without school. You learn about things that you never learned. How I got back? Well, it wasn't that easy. Well homeworks is not my favorite hobby. I just do it so I don't forget what we did during class times. My friends just help me out and stuff... hehh

well, what motivates me is (a) interest in the material (this applies only for english and sociology) and (b) COLLEGE. there is absolutely no way i'm going to be stuck at some public state school with the same jocks in my P.E. class. i want to go to a good college where i can find interesting people to inspire me and guide me toward my own goals.

well...i guess u are still in high school....well high school kinda suck, esp. how they teach u there... esp. if u have a horrible teacher...but im sure if u work hard-(suck it in)-and make it to college u'll may find it better...college is more free...and interesting...and independent...also...u can try finding a class that may interest u-which is what high school is about, finding what ur interest is...if i didn't have music class in high school...i would totally be no where from now...but im sure u will be better in college...

alot of my friends and classmates are very jealous of my marks ... they think i'm soo smart and a .. " show off " but i'm not ...they are the one who pass by and always looking at my paper. Sometimes, i wanna cheer .. and people showed me thier paper and i show to them cuz it's " feed back " people got big issue, i swear .. they need to leave me alone and move on. they just need to focus instead of bitching at me.
hm, i lost interested in school last year and i regain it cuz many adults " encourage " me to do well in school for a sucessful future. first of all, i " use " to lack paying attention and i procasinated ALOT .. i started to " work " more .. little by little till to the fullest .. you just need to do a little bit extra work every day .. example ... if u do 5 problems on the first day .. you start doing 10 more problems on the next day, then you start doing 30 more problems .. that's what i'm talkin about. You just need to push urself " a bit " .. just like i did. Even if you dont feel like paying attention to the teacher while lecturing .. at least read the book or part of it. you just need to try ur best to avoid being procasinated .. edit// i think it's better then over pushing yourself too much cuz u dont realli like it. you just need to get use to keep on doing more by more .. |

I lost interest in it too! Back in Middle and Junior High, I used to be one of the top students. Until I went to High School, when I was a freshman, I was still kinda smart. Sophomore year, 2nd semester, I started to fall out. This year, Junior year, Im really slacking off. Im not sure if I even wanna go to college anymore and become and Architect...

Yeah I know how you feel, but think of all the benefits you can have if you try. I mean, I don't wanna do any work or anything, but this year is important for me and I don't like seeing any C's or too many B's on my report card, so that's what motivates me to do my work.
