I'm so mad...
And i'm not really sure if this belongs here, either. So this past week, I go to Dunkin' Donuts with my friend, Steve. My mom finds out, and she starts wigging out on me. She found I went today, too... and she starts lecturing me. She says something along the lines of how I shouldn't hang out with boys and how I'm only 13. And how she bets other girls don't hang out with boys. And how there are a lot of people, but I have to be friends with Steve. So at that point, I was mad. Because: 1. A lot of girls hang out with boys, not just doing to Dunkin' Donuts, but like going over each other's houses, and crap. 2. Steve is just a friend, no more. SO THEN, I go to her and I was like "wow, you're weird... " AND THEN, she talks about teen pregnancy!!!! And about how I go everywhere with him. I tell her ti's just Dunkin' Donuts!... She says, "first it's dunkni' donuts.. and then it's the movies and then after you'll end up with a baby" At this point, my jaw is dropped. I do not like Steve and he is just a friend. He's ugly, too, and I don't really like anyone. sdfjastjwrosdnaggasfjlg I am really mad. Anyone else's parents like that? I really need some consolation on my life and hope someone's parents are like this. Because so far, I've seen no one's parents like this. |

my parents arent like that...they dont care about hu i hang out with...well im like a tomboy so they say im like a boy..lol..anyways they dont really care...wow..ur mom over reacted...thats kinda weird...after all it was only dunkin donuts...

wow...my parents are pretty bad but not about that stuff....apparently if i step out of my house alone i'm going to get raped/killed...
 i have plenty of scenarios like that.

OMG, my parents are like that too! Well, they used to be like that, but they've loosened up a bit. But yeah, my parents don't like me hanging out with guys that much either...

They overdo it. They just want you to be safe and keep you out of harm's way.
Just calmly accept the information and walk away. You know in your heart that you won't do something like that, and that should be good enough for you. Plus, your mom won't get hurt because you yelled at her or something. Just remember..shez looking out for you, no matter how bad it seems. |

My parents are like that. Even if I just IM someone online, the instantly assume that it's a boy and tell me to sign off and shut down the computer right away. I just want them to loosen up. &Just ignore her.

OMGSH MY PARENTS EXACTLY !
 i can barely even look at a guy around them, my mom goes "ill tell you one more timmee, no boyfriend till second year of college!  " and yet she says it over and over and over again what is up with that *cough* weirdos *cough*i mean i cant even hang with my friends that are girls afterschool ! cause they think ima get raped on the street

my mom and dad arn't like that at all! they are the opposite...they never tlak abotu anything like that, and they love it when I get together with freinds (boys or girls) they like try to make me invite them everywhere, sometiems it gets a little annoying, but it's better than over reacting. I mean, I was at this guys hosue (aaron) who I DONNOT like, infact I don't even like him that much as a freind or whatever,anyway, he invited me for a sleepover and my mom's like "GREAT! I'm so glad your hanging out with him again! I thought you guys stoped beign freinds!" ....I mean, that's fine an all, it was jsut a regular sleep over, like in differnt beds lol ofcourse...but I kwno some moms would probably see that as a good time for a lecture. lol.

Thats sad, what your mom said about you going for donuts then the movies and the worst part about it was when she said you will end up having a baby! It sounds like she dosent trust you. But dont worry my moms like that too. >< God my mom pistses me off!

hmm, sounds like my mom. Lol. She thinks that if I even have a boyfriend, it's like disrespecting the "vietnamese community" or w/e. But yeah, I can sometimes hang out w/ my guy friends.. but if my dad ever knew........................
