navigation, in blog style.. Options

i'm trying to make a nvaigation box but without the drop down lists and without the coordinates. umm.. it's sort of hard to explain so sorry if i can't explain it very well...

it's like this

<!-- begin code provided by createblog.com --><br /><br /><div style="width:HERE; height:HERE; overflow: auto; <br />background-image:url(http://www.filenamehere.gif);<br />background-color: #COLOR;<br />border-color:#COLOR; <br />border-style: BORDERTYPE;<br />border-top-width: 1px; <br />border-right-width: 1px; <br />border-bottom-width: 1px; <br />border-left-width: 1px;<br />scrollbar-face-color: #COLOR;<br />scrollbar-highlight-color:#COLOR; <br />scrollbar-shadow-color: #COLOR; <br />scrollbar-3dlight-color: #COLOR; <br />scrollbar-arrow-color: #COLOR;<br />scrollbar-track-color: #COLOR; <br />scrollbar-darkshadow-color: #COLOR; <br />scrollbar-base-color: #COLOR;"><br />Your text goes here! Make sure you add enough, or your box will not scroll!<br /></div><br /><br /><!-- end code provided by createblog.com -->

but i can't position it to go on my layout here where navigation is.

then my friend gave me this code that she used for her flooble chatterbox...

<!-- begin code provided by createblog.com --><br /><br /><div<br />style="width: 183;<br />height: 188;<br />overflow: auto;<br />scrollbar-arrow-color: #FFFFFF;<br />scrollbar-track-color: #cccccc;<br />scrollbar-face-color: #6699FF;<br />scrollbar-3dlight-color: #000000;<br />scrollbar-darkshadow-color: #cccccc;<br />scrollbar-shadow-color: #000000;<br />scrollbar-highlight-color:#ffffff;<br />font-family: Tahoma;<br />font-size: 11px;<br />color:FFFFFF"><br />texthere<br /></div><br /><br /><!-- end code provided by createblog.com -->

and again, it doesn't say how to position it, or i just don't know how to do it sorry everyone, it's just that i'm a total newbie at positioning... any help at all is much appreciated

ok.. so u want the naviagation to be where it is but without the drop down menu, right? Then, u have to use a div

no i'm not using a drop down menu, more of a blog-like navigation menu, with scrollbars and all
