ok so this is how the story goes:

my coach, her boyfriend, her best friend and his date all went out for dinner. the place was a 'hangout' for lawyers cuz its close to the courthouses so its packed. it was way above the fire limit (hello- station night club fire?) and there were candles on the tables. my coach *used to have* really long, thick brown hair and she wore it down to go out. so she was getting seated when a strand of her hair accidentally touched the candle. in a couple of seconds her whole head was on fire. her bf tried to smother her to put out the flame, but then he sufficated her as well. so a busboy comes flying at her hed with a washcloth to choke the fire. eventually it goes out and the manger comes in. by this time, my coach was in shock. she says that the manager was acting really nice to her. then she heard yelling coming from nearby. the best friends date was yelling at the busboy for spilling wine on her new jacket when he was saving my coaches hair! my coach ended up going home in a limo that she made her best friend order cuz she was feeling so bad (tongue.gif) she learned later that she had lost 14 inches of her hair.

hopefully the best friend dumped that b---h.. has anything like that happened to u?

edit// the best friend's date walks up to my coach and starts screaming that she has to pay for her jacket b/c she was stupid enough to put her hair in front of a candle and stuff like that. she did this while my coach was *still in shock* <--thats why i thought the best friend should dump the date...

So is this about the best friend's date or your coach's hair catching on fire?

yay, mock trial!
ah, that must suck. but eh, if you think about it, it's kind of ridiculous that society values outward appearances so much as to mourn the loss of hair. oO
