Its the beginning of Lent, I forgot the technical stuff about it sad.gif But Lent is 40 days, and 40 nights...It leads up to Good Friday, and Easter. I think its probabaly the most important time of the year for Catholics ohmy.gif

OO now i remember! Its hwne Jesus went to pray for 40 days and 40 nights and the devil kept tempting him to stop. Jesus went on without food and water for those 40 days, praying the whole time. Which is why people who celebrate lent give up something to lent tongue.gif

I gave up my icecream, sushi, and chips cry.gif

Eh, I could've skipped, because my parents aren't home, and I could've spent the day with my boyfriend. But, I went to school... there weren't that many Asians at my school, which was surprising because about 70% is Asian. I will probably skip next year (senior year)

And yes, I skipped school because of Ash Wednesday and for Chinese New Year. _smile.gif
