weird timing on this one..., can anyone relate? Options

For some reason after years of my dad looking for a better job, 3 come up at once. One is in town... the other would involve a little travel... and the last he'd have to rent an apartment in a bigger city a few hours away from where we live now. Also the pay sorta goes up with the miles. So I guess he's aiming more for the last one.

I'm glad he has these oppertunites... but what's with this crazy timing? If my dad gets an apartment away from us that'd be terrible (I'ma bit ofa daddy's girl) If we all decided to move I'd be sorta annoyed cause recently I've made some really good friends. But on the other hand one of my best friends is moving to Florida next year. And I'm getting sick of a lota people at my school.

I'm not really sure why I'm posting this... I guess I just wanna know what you'd do in my situation... or what you'd wanna do really. And has anyone had something like this happen?

My dad is away allll the time and i have moved alot in my time i make friends and lose them really doesnt bother me much because most of my friends are online :-p

Well, do you have a say it in it at all? There will be pros and cons if your family decides to move...moving is always tough. I've only made one major move in my life (from Baltimore to Chicago) but my dad has been offered jobs that he's almost taken in Columbus, Denver, and Indianapolis. That was awhile ago, though, and now he's in charge of the sales for his company so he get to chose where he works out of. I'm going off on a tangent. Whatever your parents decide, you'll have to make some adjustments...good luck!

nothing huge has happened like that to me. just tell your parents what you think about it, and maybe they take into consideration what you tell them.

My dads stupid and abusive, so, in my case, i know, this is heartless, but I'd be like YIPPIE!!

wow that's really hard, but honestly go with whatever your dad wants, it is what is important.

yea i had a expierience like that. my dad and two offers doing business. luckily he choose the right one and now has a successful restaurant.

This have never happen to me. i know it seem sucks to you. I live w/ all my parents, and five sibling including me. I think its better for us to live in the same spot becuase i think it's too much problems for the whole family to be traveling on and on.

I think you should tell your dad that you dont want to move w/ him anymore because your sick losing your great relationship w/ your friends .. also you want to live w/ your grandparents, cousins or any family members.

but i guess you need to wait and see what will come your way...i mean it seems like there are 2 sides to it, and there are pros and cons to both situations. i guess you'll have to wait and see where fate will take you and go with it =/
