Gangs, a problem in your community? Options

Anyways, I've been noticing lately that gangs are becoming a big part of my community. Everywhere you go, there's territory claimed by gangs. I myself dont really think its a problem since the majority of my friends belong or ride with gangs, but if it gets outta control, its gonna be a great danger to the city. So far, the most popular gangs in my city are:

Not really. The only gang I know of in Milpitas would be the Scraps.
Then again, I know that fights break out all the time at school because of gang clashes between the Mexicans & Blacks. Not that I hang out with anyone enough to know gang names. Cortez, or something..? O_o

So there isn't any troubles these days. Only fire accidents and car accidents heh.

But I know there is one gangsta group, which is "THE KOREAN OPPAS" hehe... but they don't do that many harms..... just drink and car race at downtown.

DD or double dose. A mix of gangs. They wear white.
BB or bouble bose. A female version.
cripz. From the south south or up north. they wear blue.
Piwi. the young group made of seventh graders in my school. All are females.

edit: ya there are gangs here, the main ones are the bloods and the crips, ya recently there have been gang related killings and the area of my city that i live in is where the crips' territory is.

We've got IMPs around my area, but they aren't too bad. You see taggings around the city and sometimes at school [though they paint over that as soon as they it], but violence wise, you don't hear very much about it. I see them at school in their group, but other than that, I don't really see them outside.

Not in the direct town in live in, but in a neighboring city, Salinas, there's gang violence/killings and shootings at least weekly. Not too long ago there was a shooting in the mall, I think 1 killed and 2~3 injured.

Im from san diego in southern california, theirs a sh*t load of gang violence, but im in the SURENo 13, probobly the biggest one in southern cali. there are alot of gangs all over cali, but here in San Diego theres mostly stupid little krews, and alot of sets, personally, i find nothing wrong with gangs.

Um people who heard of the city I live in woudn't think that there are gangs. sSnce it's the suburbs. But we still have our gangs too. A gang called XIV tagged my neighborhood a while back. Then there's also the Mexican Norte gang. A lot of people from my school come from Oakland/Richmond so there's also: Hyphy Boys, TOTT Boys, Frontline, S.O.S. (sock on site), F.W.I. (yeah silly names I know.)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're from the Chicago area, right? I am also, however, I'm from Naperville and Naperville is the kind of place where if you said there was a gang there, people would laugh in your face. FYI, Naperville was voted the #1 place to raise your kids by Newsweek a few years ago (#3 this year, I think). I have heard of the GDs, though but not from people that live in Naperville.

what she said ...except i only knwo the groups in elmhurst Queens . .....and others like MS 13 in Coram Long Island . Bloodz in Smithtown . Bloodz in West Hempstead ....alotta fake wigger gangs in eastern long island which i find pretty stupid ....TBS in Hollis Hills ....there were some Desi Gangs i knew about when i was younger and chilled .... ....but i don`t really care anymore ....its just another waste of valuable time , ...then have a grudge on territorial groups and whine and complain about life . its the mentality ...and alot of people gotta change that .. Gangs are usless theres no point ...how will it affect society & America ? And , how can other countries look upon us ?? it just degrades the country even more . Down in Frisco sure there's gangs, but then its basically alot of people who roll deep, territory etc. you got HP alongside 3rd street, projects, drug dealing the works etc. down where I use to live you got the fellas with the bootleg sht. Stolen Items, and low lifes. You walk in these areas fitted and geared up,or walking with your iPod for sure your gonna get jumped.

Down in Mission, you got some crypts down there, bloods, again territory wise but with the mexicans, latins, hispanic. well its diversified.

not in our city .. i live in a jewish community so its pretty peaceful here.
