R&B singer Houston has reportedly attempted suicide by gouging out his eye while on tour in London.

According to reports, Houston tried to jump off a balcony, but was stopped by his security detail.

After he was prevented from leaping, he then was locked in a bathroom, where he gouged out one of his eyes.

Last year, the Hip-Hop oriented singer scored a major hit in "I Like That" with Nate Dogg and Chingy.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Houston during this tragic time," Capitol Records said in a statement.

Earlier this month, Houston was nominated for "Best New R&B Artist" by the 2004 T M H Honors. Winners were supposed to be announced on Jan. 31, but results have not been returned.

I just saw something on it on MTV News.. they said that he grew up as like a religious person and he has seen lots of sins and stuff in the business? (dont quote me, i dont remember what exactly was said) and that he has some problems and stuff... and he went to the psychiatrist like a year ago and hes schizophrenic blink.gif

eww...well if they did do something about him on mtv...it could be true, mtv isn't really some gossip newspaper...and plus they don't make up crap...that picture is so gross...but...if he gouged his eye out...why would people just take a close up of it when he's just standing there? couldn't they have waited until he was in the hospital? but then again you can't really see the background...

i have no idea if thats really him. as we all know, stars look waayy different in real life or in a reg. photo then some airbrushed photo or tv. and to answer your question as to why people would take a close up of him with him just standing there. if you got to see houston like that, you wouldnt take a pic if you had a camera on you? do you think the paparazzi (sp) really care where he`s at? come on now. they snap pictures of celeb`s anywhere, at anytime. you cant hide from them pinch.gif and honestly..i dont really think he really cares if people take a pics, i mean come on now, he doesnt even care about his life. but thats just my opinion. _smile.gif

What really amazes me is that the whole "ghetto" thing about Houston. I mean, I would think that a rapper wouldn't commit suicide considering they rap about trying to fight for their life in the hood. Wow, eh. That's what really shocked me. But once I heard that on the news I almost threw up. He needs to get some physothereputic attention and be layed off of entertainment for a while.

Oh, and the kid with the photo, please take your picture down because it is way too gruesome for PG-13. Do you still remember that PG-13 does not only mean porn but also any graphic material of any kind? Thank you.

Yea, he said it was his way of getting rid of the devil and that he was sorry to God for lusting after women like that.There's a scriptur(sp?) in the bible about a man lusting after a women and it said something about casting out your eye or something like that i dont remeber at the moment though, but he took it into literal terms and sctually did it. sad.gif I like his song, the beat was "catchy".Oh and i also heard that he was Bipolar so yea.
