i had a friend who committed suicide when I was in 6th grade. He was in 7th. he..hung himself in his bedroom closet..i think because his stepmother and pressure at school...he killed himself on his birthday... and i was offered to play a cello solo at his funeral... and the amazing thing is ...after the funeral when everyone came outside, it started raining...really hard.. and the pastor said, "God is crying..." i think im gonna cry...

have you had a friend or family member who committed suicide?

Sorry to hear about that. My friend committed suicide a few weeks ago. I wasn't very close with him, but it was kind of a waste because it was obvious that many, many people loved and cared about him.

My cousin on my dad's side died in Japan .. they say he committed suicide. I didn't really know him that well, but it still hurts having someone part of your family die.

My friend attempted to commit suicide. But thank God her cousin got there on time to stop her ..

There was a time in my life where I wanted to commit suicide... but it's weird how I know so many people who have commited suicide and many people around them say, "It wasn't the right decision."

there was this guy that liked me, and i offered my friendship only to him.. during valentines he asked to be his.. i refuse, and he got all crazy and psycotic, and commited suicide that day, drank a number of sleeping pills... i told his friend to check up on him that night... well, he was rushed to the hospital and ended up in an insane asyllum... and during rehab, he still asked me out, and i said no... and he's saying that im the cause to all problems.. i kinda feel guilty cause it's because of me that he ended up in rehab..

afterthat, i lost contact with him, his psychiatrist told him to stay away from ppl making him feel suicidal..

( the family was a lady and the kids stepfather and 4-5 children ) well the stepfather committed suicide in the garage .. i felt bad for him but i didnt really know him and i didnt get his name..

Apparently my grandmother.. When I was six.. She took 250+ pain killers in just a few hours..

I get depressed like that sometimes.. I think it scares people. But it scares me too...
I just can't control myself when I get depressed. And my boyfriend just dumped me for the third time.. I love him so much..

When I was younger...my friend commited suicide...he was only 13!! I just dont understand how someone that young could want to do something like that...they dont even know what life is at such a young age!! Then there is another guy who commited suicide this past year....I didnt really know him but I was introduced and hung out at his house with a bunch of friends before!!

I had a friend whose aunt committed suicide... Maybe because of all the stress, he wasn't for sure. He was telling my english class last year about it when we had a "secratic seminar" debate sort-of-thing. I had tears forming in my eyes.. It's terrible because of the fact that she left behind her children. What are her children going to do? They don't have the strength to deal with this pain.. :/ I never asked my friend what happened to the children. It's a really touchy subject.

aww, im really sorry about your friend but i feel your pain. a good friend of mine committed suicide earlier this school year. he hung himself in his room. it was truly sad and it was weird because all of that time, i thought that he was fine, that eveyrthing was going well but there was SO much that he was going through that everyone was too blind to see. i saw signs but i didn't think much of it because he was such a "lively" person that i was like, "ehh, he isn't depressed." i miss him so much. *sighs, but i'm sorry about your friend. it hurts so much. i hope you are okay.

No, no one ever died in my family or commited suicide. My friend's friend almost commited suicide before. He had like a gun, and he almost killed himself because of his girlfriend. (They broke up, and he "Loved her"). I thought it was way to pathetic. Sorry about your friend though.

My cousin. It was really sad.

My parent's didn't even let me go to his funeral cause I was too young.

They had to explain suicide to me when i was 5.

Then my Dad's friend's daughter tried to jump off a bridge and it was all over tv. That was sad too.

And a lot of my friends have tried, as have I.

So yeah, I never realized everyones life wasn't like that. That's really surprising.

Dunno if it was suicide, but a friend was hung by a hammock. She was almost perfect-good grades, good friends, and ... ya. But i think she was pressured by her mom or something. i dunno.

wow i know of 2 close to being 5 wich hurst a tad bit...a kid i use to know named michael had hung himself from his closet from a belt not many people knew why and what really hurts is not knowing...and it killed me to see his dad sad like that...it happened wow a while ago but u can never forget things like that....then my friends good friend...he killed himself by hanging himself from a tree because he had and argument with his mother...and his little brother wanted to go after him and his mom made him stay and whom knows....HIs poor brother...its not his fault but its weird and bad to say he could have done something...and his mom lets him live with the guilt....no one desserves that....i have alot of depressed friends with alot of close calls even my self....and its scary even teriffying..im not trying to justify it but you just never know....and it really Kills you not to know sometimes.....may they rest in peace and if anymore....may you rest cause i do belive its what you really wanted....

i just saw a documentary over suicide on the tv
a kid that was in the FIFTH grade killed himself because his teacher gave him alot alot of homework and then said his mom had to sign it every night or else he couldnt turn it in. the one night she wouldnt sign it because he was supposed to do it over he hung himself with a belt while standing up. his dad walked right past him when he was doing it then again when he was leaving!

A member of my JHS jazz band, who I knew but not well commited suicide while I was in HS, apparently it was because of problems in his family and school. He hung himself in the basement with a shirt. I'm sorry bout your friend.

Suicide is a horrible thing. I had suicidal thoughts when I was in 7th grade, and now I am completely angry with who I was back then. It's ridiculous to even think of suicide. I couldn't see that so many people loved me. I became selfish, and figured no one would even care if I killed myself. Stupidest year of my life.

I've never known anyone personally who commited suicide. My advice? Never try suicide, because you are probably underestimating how bad it will affect others. Suicide is a selfish act. If you hate your life that badly, go get help.

Sorry, I just have no sympathy towards people who commit suicide, only sympathy for those who had to know someone who commited the crime.

I think there were two kids at my school who died a few years ago.
One i heard jumped off the roof of the school and another drowned herself in our swimming pool on the roof.

I'm really lucky to never have known anybody who has attempted suicide. It would be horrible to lose someone because they committed suicide.
