i looked around but i couldnt find any topics about fall out boy.
so, mods, if there is one, close this please!.. and i'm sorry. anywho.. does anyone here like fall out boy? i dont give a damn you think they're pop-punk-teeny-bopper music, and they're such posers and all that shiz, cause i've heard it all before. but i cant deny that their music is amazing, their lyrics especially. They're so clever and witty. and dont get me started about the music and the tunes... it's so catchy that even after listening to them, you cant beat it out even with a crowbar!  anyway, i've been a fan of fall out boy ever since their "fall out boy's evening out with your girlfriend" came out... and i'm absolutely FURIOUS that they're beginning to pop-out out of the underground music business... because this will attract all the wrong crowd and kill them...  also, their new album is going to be signed on to Island Records.. which isnt good.  I really love them. i saw them in october with tbs and matchbook romance. it was great. anyone here like them? and you gotta be a true fan like me! do not just listen to one song you heard somewhere and claim that you're a fan! |

Not a fan, but I've seen one of their shows during the summer. They're not bad, in fact, they're pretty good.
 I hate it when people automactically brush bands off cause cause they're catagorized a certain genre. How could you possibly know if they suck or not if you haven't even given them a chance? |

I like Fall Out Boy...they came here three years ago around the time I went to see Less Than Jake in concert. They're good. I agree with you on the Island Records thing, though.

i found out about them about a year ago too. i will admit that a lot of their lyrics are really clever, and that their music is catchy, but after listening to about... track three or four, it got SO old, SO fast.

Fall Out Boy rocks.
If you have the Fall Out Boy DVD that comes with the b-sides album, they perform at the Webster and you can see my cousin's friend in the crowd... he's the tallest one. My cousin was there as well, but she's so short, you can't see her. Hahaha. But yeah, can't wait for the new album this year!! Oh, and PinkTrash... "My Heart Is The Worst Kind Of Weapon" is a great song. Acoustic... love it. |

Fall Out Boy is ultimately awesome. Honestly, I don't mind that they're hitting the mainstream now. If they didn't get popular, I probably would never have heard of them.
I got addicted after Grand Theft Autumn, which I heard on someone's xanga from CB, interestingly enough. Now I'm a fanatic. My absolute favorites? Dead On Arrival and Nobody Puts Baby In A Corner.

I've known them for quite some time now. I happen to fancy "Take This To Your Grave" the most. My ex went on a music spree && introduced me to them a few years ago.
It's great that they're attracting more fans, why shouldn't they be able to share their music w/ everyone just because some of their earlier, some what hardcore fans want to keep FOB to themselves? That's a bit selfish in my opinion. FOB's new album is wonderful, they haven't changed too much. I saw them at Warped Tour && they pulled off a kick ass performance! "Chicago Is So Two Years Ago", my favorite song, I'm glad they played that at Warped. |

yes i agree with you, they're probably one of hte best emo based bands..theyve got those killer lyrics, great instruments and an amazing voice. they are pop punk but theyre soo goood. i've been a fan since evening out with you girl friend came out as well and i was so upset when i saw the video on TRL but you know what good for them, they'll be getting a lot of mone and they deserve it. it just sucks that the new fans arent gonna knw the 'real' fall out boy

fall out boy, wow. love `em. i love their song titles.
"sugar, we`re going down" is a good song, not my favorite, hard to get away from it, though. my favorite song is "a little less sixteen candles, a little more touch me." awesome song.

i like them...though i'm not too fond of sugar, we're going down. i think take this to your grave was their best cd. i hate how a lot of people who used to like them hate them and act like they've never liked them before, just because they've become more popular. i guess it shouldn't matter if a band gets popular, but i don't want them to turn into good charlotte. good charlotte used to be awesome, now their music has changed so much, it seems like they're trying way to hard to be "dark", and they just suck now.

i LOVE Fall Out Boy. I'm absolutely in love with them. The lyrics<33 And yeah, what you said about the songs being catchy...I dont see how anyone could not like them. It does kind of upset me that they're going mainstream now, though. Now EVERYONE "loves" them. I love that blogring on Xanga--"I listened to Fall Out Boy, before they were on MTV"

i used to not even be interested in the least bit in any kind of rock.
but them, linkon park,and greenday. opened my mind to a whole nother genre of music. and now i feel so stupid for how closed minded i was. and thats just mainstream, i can imagine hearing underground stuff. |
