They have to have both; because shamelessy, if they guy has a good personality, and is not good looking; i wouldn't go for him.. and if the guy has good looks, but a bad personality; i wouldn't go for him either. He must have both or he's off my list.

All the guys I'm attracted to are rejected by my friends. So yeah, it really depends on what looks mean to you. But yeah, I'm pretty sure everyone looks for both. As shallow as it sounds not alot of people would go out with a guy they think is ugly as hell just cause he's "nice." But personality is a must. No matter how good they look, if they don't have the right the personality, chances are you aren't going to be interested.

well it depends on your definition of ugly..probably not though. i guess looks are important..even to those who say they arent important..so yeah...but i also wouldnt go out with a guy whos really cute but a total jerk.

I'd say.. a way to meet a guy/girl is mostly depended on looks. I mean, come on, you wouldn't go hit on a person that is not appealing to you, right? But I'm sure that people have friends.. and they fall in love because of their personalities.. not just because of how they look. In the end.. it's the heart that falls in love, not the face.

Both for me! He has to have a unique personality and he has to look mild. I mean, he doen't have to be gorgeous, just as long as he has nice facial characteristics. He has to be taller than me!! I'm median height but their are still really short guys out there.

Holy Moly, I ask all lot out of guys. I'm not really that picky, it's just hard to explain.

It really depends on the personality, I usually don't see guys by their looks, although I guess if someone was obese, I probably wouldn't like them.

It's always important to have both. I thought it could work if i dated a guy with an awesome personality, even though i really wasn't attracted to him physically, yah...doesn't work out either. lol you need to be attracted to both who he is and what he looks like. Both is key :) not one or the other. So that only took me, what...how many years to figure out?

personality is big but looks are needed to an extent also. im sorry that is a bit shallow but honestly if i knew this guy with a fabulous personality but didnt look all to good at all itd be kinda hard to think of him as more than a friend. there has to some kinda physical attraction to keep the relationship romantic? but personality is what it should be founded on for me. _smile.gif

yeah, looks will always be a factor. it's just to what degree that varies but before i can't be sure i got to take a look at their personalities. i've had too many bad experiences to not consider that.

well for me, i dont go for the REALLY UGLY guys but dont always go for the drop dead georgus ones. (sometimes i do xD) WELL ANYWAYS i want to get to know them to get to know their personality. thats what i look for the most

but then guys, its the complete opposite. it seems that they go for looks =[

at the beginning... looks, but the eyes really catch me. and then after talking a little, if there's chemistry. and personality wise, they have to be funny (but can be serious too), have some sort of passion like music or sports, be at least a little cute, somewhat smart, and someone i can talk to about anything like problems, or just have a discussion about something. but there are always exceptions lol

I know it's shallow, but I first approach someone that's attractive than approaching someone that's not.

But if I find out that he's a total a-hole (which has happened), I'm not even going to bother.

Which is why it's both.

I mean, non-attractive guys are okay, too. It's just that I might not see them as a boyfriend and just as a friend.

Actually, yeah. I kinda found that out about myself that if a guy is caring enough, he could be the best looking guy ever.
