You're only 12? I never knew that. I use my mom's credit card all the time to buy stuff off ebay. I don't see why your parents wouldn't allow you to use it...

Wow, you're stupid; if I were your parents, I wouldn't give you your own credit card either. Someone as immature and whiney as you would probably overcharge the card; how the hell do you expect to pay it off anyways? I doubt your parents would pay for everything that you've ever wanted. You're twelve. Twelve-year-olds don't have credit cards.

End yourself. Now.

ahhh eBay! I've bought hundreds of junk off there since I was 15.. but it was with my own debit card buddy. =] Well just try showing your parents what you want and if they say no then that's life... you're only 12 and you can't always get what you want kiddo. BUT if you have an eBay account and the seller allows you to pay by money order then you can always send them a money order instead of paying with a credit card. =]

Why don't you go to the store and buy it? Or give someone the $$ who has a credit card, so they can buy it off of you.

That's what my brother did-- he paid me the money and I charged it on my card. Although he's 24. I wouldn't be complaining if I were you.

Um, maybe they don't wantto give out their credit card number.

And why WOULD they get you your own credit card? you're 12.
Credit cards, if u didn't know, is like borrowing money. Not free money. You need to pay them back.

... You could always do.. Money Orders or something... And you're too young to have your own anyway. Go ask a friend to go bid for you.. Some people get ripped off or tricked and never get their money back.. regardless of what eBay could do to get your money back.

But anyway... like I said, just go and ask a friend who knows someone who has an ebay account to go bid for you.. You just have to give them proof that you'll give them the money if they're going to go out of the way and actually bid on something for you.

My parents bought me Rikku doll, 2 Rikku wallscrolls and a Rikku pin from ... well, not ebay but whatever it was, it was online. I'm trying to persuade my parents to get me this 6-pack sheet music... but they won't pay no matter how much I told them I would pay shipping handling and the $10 itself. I feel lonely now.

its not your parent's problems, parent are just more responsible and they have a reason not to buy stuff from ebay.

anyways, i think its a valuble lesson for you to know that " not everyone gets what they want "

Your parents are not gay. They had you. And they're still together.

This situation is not gay either. Do you see it mingling around with another situation of the same gender? I think not. So it's not gay.

Ebay a bit risky.

If you do buy on ebay, it a good idea to read the other consumer opinions posted on the seller pages or u can get rip off.

From what I heard, not everything they sell on ebay is real like for Example:

A guy buys a Plasma TV online for like $2,000.00
Guy sends money by paypal and in a week, gets a big box by UPS.
Guy opens box to find inside a cartboard cutout with a picture of a plasma tv.

I'm afraid to shop on ebay too though, so I agree with the parents.

Unless I got a credit card that was password protected (which they have now) and that I could freeze if I was being ripped off, I don't trust strangers enough to shop with them...

I wish I could though, because ebay has some effin awesome stuff on there.

Next time you should go earn yourself some money and ask if you can use their credit to buy stuff online that YOU'll pay for.

tongue.gif EBAY'S THE SHIT! If I don't go 2 the mall, then I go on eBay. But not as much N E more cuz I have my own money now, & since I have my won money, can't use the daddy's plastic...plus I have no time sad.gif , and 4 sum reason, once U earn ur own money & GROW UP...U become less materialistic & realize U don't have 2 buy THE NEWEST MARILYN MONROE PURSE 2 make U happy...sorry, I guess the Marilyn thing's just me _smile.gif .

But yeah, quit being a diva...U don't have 2 do wutever everyone else is doing! Be an individual! Do ur own thing! Be urself! Individuality...it's a beautiful thing wink.gif ...plus, I bet after a week, U'd grow tired of wutever U wanted 2 buy on eBay...U'll get OVER IT!

tongue.gif Sorry...I knoe I'm double posting, but as an eBay expert, I gotta give facts & tips...

ALWAYZ read the info...don't instantly bid cuz U want, U GOTTA check the info! It tells if a product is used, authentic, etc...PLUS check the seller's history 4 N E bad business they had in the past...lets U knoe about the seller & wut kinda person they are.
If they sell "authentic" stuff, like Bettie Page's bikini or Jimi Hedrix's guitar, U gotta check if they have proof of a "certificate of authenticity"...and if they don't, it's most likely phony & shouldn't take a chance.
AND U DON'T ALWAYZ HAVE 2 PAY BY CREDIT CARDS! People accept cashier/personal checks, cash (WHICH IS TOO RISKY & SHOULDN'T BE DONE!), money orders, etc...sure it'll take longer 2 get the item, but U don't have 2 worry about credit card scams happy.gif ...

AND THAT'S ALL I HAVE ON MY ADVICE 4 ALL U NEW EBAY SHOPPERS wink.gif !

QUOTE(Azarel @ Jan 25 2005, 5:33 PM)
Wow, you're stupid; if I were your parents, I wouldn't give you your own credit card either. Someone as immature and whiney as you would probably overcharge the card; how the hell do you expect to pay it off anyways? I doubt your parents would pay for everything that you've ever wanted. You're twelve. Twelve-year-olds don't have credit cards.

End yourself. Now.

you're only 12, you can buy stuff from eBay later in life. ;)
but if you want it real bad, show your parents what you want, convice them, act good. if that doesn't work, too bad.

Haha, there's not really much you can do, usually parents that make the decisions on these kinda things stick pretty hard to them. Well that's from personal experience, on paintball equipment. I know its not much consolation but maybe you just got to wait, and it depends on what you want too right? if it's a useless thing than I don't blame them for not letting you get it.

I've never had this problem. Just try showing her how ebay works and what you want to buy and stuff. Take her to the FAQs page (I'm not sure if they have one..) and let her read it. Just try to make her feel comfortable about it. If she still doesn't, try to find it in a mall or something.

my cousin buys and sells stuff on eBay, and I can see EXACTLY why ur parent wouldnt let you use theire cards. I mean do they drop you off at the mall and let you buy whatever you want with their credit cards? And besides, you gotta be smart and read into things there. If a cell phone is $0.50 (ahem) its probably not good quality, or broken or something. Because if u find something that cheap and it worth it, so will other people, and it wont stay $0.50 for long. I mean, my cousin has bought me about 8500$$ worth of collectible barbies off of ebay (yeah I know its sick, shut up) and lots of them start at a dollar and go up to $50+ so dont be fooled. Besides, a lot of the time you get a better deal at wal*mart. ebay is only truly good if you are looking for something people dont make anymore, or thats really rare and hard to find or foriegn. I would'nt sweat it. Complain when ur parent wont let you eat dinner, not cuz they wont give u free reign with their credit cards. Credit is tough. I'm only 19 and i've already effed up my credit.
