what kind of racist people are they? They take racism to a whole new level. And it's the lowest you can stoop down to. The pathetic and sad part about it is that these disgusting, dispicable excuses for Americans find that the song is "f**kin hilarious". Shame on you. You're an embarrassment to our country.

I am deeply offended by this display of not only insensitivity towards the victims, but the underlying racism towards Asians as well, as portrayed in this song. Racism coming from people whos ancestors who faced the worst racism than anyone else in this country and still face more discrimination than any other group, how can they be racist themselves? They're being hypocritical and very idiotic. I understand that it's 'normal' to make light of tragic situations as they have done in the past (9/11). It's done to lift spirits. But this, they were mean, they were racist. If you listen to the song, it sounds like they are making fun of Asian people, more than they are making light of the situation. It sounds like they are laughing because Asian people have died, calling them 'chinks' and 'chinamen' and such, and laughing at the children that are gonna be sold as slaves because they are Asian. If this were in Africa they would never had made light of the situation, and would have attacked anyone who did so I think racism is the underlying issue.

//edit

I also just signed the petition: http://www.petitiononline.com/tsunmai7/petition.html

i dont know if she already made a topic about this, but this was brought to my attention by Roxanne (xquizit)

read this article and listen to the song as well:

http://www.hiphopmusic.com/archives/000760.html

i wrote an email to Miss Jones, with subject line:

To Miss Jones; This is not hatemail!

..heres the email:

I lied.

I haven’t failed to notice that when referring to Africans in your Tsunami Song you’ll actually say “Africans,” and yet you’ll still refer to Asian people as “chinks” and “china-men.” Though I have to laugh at your blatant display of ignorance (since most of the tsunami victims were NOT Chinese – and being Asian doesn’t automatically make you Chinese either) I must express how completely offended I was upon listening to it.

Not only did you express your arrogance through this song, but when Miss Info simply stated that she was not a part of this, you proceeded to attack her with accusations such as: “you feel superior, probably because you're Asian." I failed to see why you would say something like that, because in my honest opinion, she has never expressed such feelings (on-air at least). Maybe it wasn’t necessary for her to say that she wasn’t involved in the making of such an offensive song, but I don’t see how bitching at her for 5 minutes was necessary either. Saying that she wasn’t a part of it wasn’t hurting anyone at all… she was only expressing her opinion. You get to express your opinion all the time – and yet when she tries to, you’re all up her ass about it. Is it because you feel that you are more superior to her because she’s Asian? On the other hand… it wasn’t necessary for you to bash her on-air for simply doing what anyone else would in the situation. What you said did offend people, and most likely offended Miss Info as well. All in all, I do think Miss Info handled herself very well. She never tried to insult you or make any ridiculous assumptions about you at all. She didn’t get personal about it. Can you say you did the same? No… you can’t. Because someone with as much arrogance as you doesn’t practice much self-restraint, or common decency.

People died; you idiot.

Love (forever),

Christina.

ugh, i didn't want to have to listen to the song because like the people who posted it would probably get me really mad...but i read what roxanne said and i looked at the choice lyrics on the petition site (i signed it, i'm #1036) it's so disgusting mad.gif

QUOTE
Here are some choice lyrics:
"..All at once you could hear the screaming chinks
and no one was safe from the wave
there were africans drowning, little chinamen swept away
you could hear god laughing, "swim you bitches swim"
So now you're screwed, it's the Tsunami
you better run or kiss your ass away, go find your mommy
I just saw her float by, a tree went through her head
and now the children will be sold to child slavery..."

that is so flithy, 'you could hear god laughing, "swim you bitches swim" '

'you better run or kiss your ass away, go find your mommy
I just saw her float by, a tree went through her head
and now the children will be sold to child slavery..." '
what the f*ck is wrong with these people??? mad.gif i'm glad i never listened to them _dry.gif

and with what trish said...it's true, the tsunami victims weren't even chinese

***are there going to be any protests for this? i'd want to go to one stubborn.gif
