Ripples of dark muslin
Surround a tiny being
Legs, mouth, hair
All enveloped in mystery
The only thing visible
Are her piercing eyes
Pleading for mercy
She is forced to live like this
Not by her parents
But by law
Although it is a burden
She does not vocally object
For the veil of muslin
Is a veil to silence

Interpretation:a lot of you may not get this, but it is inspired by a young girl I write back and forth with from Saudi Arabia (she came here to help her dad, but had to go back) This was written awhile ago, when women were forced to fully cloth themselves and such.
