Did you buy the xbox because...

1) Halo series
2) Modability

I want to know how many people bought the xbox because it's the xbox, because everyone I know either bought it for the Halo series, or because it can be modified.

For me, neither reason is a good reason to buy the xbox, but that's just me.

I got Xbox and have never played Halo. Well, it's broken now. But no, it was a Christmas present for me. I think Xbox is better than PS2, but that's just my opinion.

I bought it because of the great graphics and for the games that come out exclusively on XBOX, and yes, including Halo.

Most people out there don't even realize the Xbox can be modded. But in case people don't know, the specs are, and it vary's depending on the source:
Intel Celeron 733mhz processor
64mb ram
8gb harddrive
But since most people don't know that it can be modded, they generally don't buy it for that reason, and people don't like voiding warrentees. I'd say that most people bought their Xbox's because of it's features, not just necessarily for Halo.

Dummy, P3 733mhz. If it was a celeron it would be lagging like a motherf**ker.

Whops, my bad, read somewhere that it was a Celeron, but as I said, specs vary depending on where you go. Even with a P3 it hangs like a motherf**ker so I don't think it would make all the much of a difference now would it.

Yes it would make a huge difference. The celeron is value-based CPU that is meant for browsing, email and Tetris. It has no L2 Cache like the P3 does.

WTF? What are you smoking? The Celeron has an L2 cache. I'm pretty sure all processors have an L2 cache. My pentium II has a L2 cache. Now-a-days a Pentium 3 is only good enough for web surfing anyways. You aren't about to game on a Pentium 3 and you aren't going to be gaming on a Pentium 3 based Celeron. With Linux, an Xbox will hang so Pentium 3 or not it ain't gonna make a difference in modding.

FFS 128k vs 512K. They should have left it 0 as thats about what it performs like.
