during my webdesign class we were discussing symmetry. we were working on our homepage at the time. we discovered symmetry made the page look pretty blah... like a 10 cent bookshelf. we mixed it up and changed some sizes. we finally got what we wanted - no symmetry but sitll some type of flow and connection. get what i'm saying?

what do you think about symmetry?

^^ Haha..I thought of math when I read the title. I think it does look pretty boring if you have symmetry.

I guess it depends. I think symetry is good cause it's easy on the eyes. But The better looking designs usually steer away from it, but they always have a way to really balance out the page. I think balance is a much greater factor in design than symetry. I can't stand seeing a layout design that's unbalanced, it just looks sloppy and unprofessional.
