Has anyone seen the Lion King on Broadway? What are your thoughts? I don't mean the movie either. there better not be a post on the movie.

I thought it was crazy sweet, and the costumes were the best of any broadway show i've seen. Great music, great direction, great show.

It was okay. I loved the movie version and I dunno, the stage version was just really different. Like they made Rafiki a GIRL. Weird, ne? I agree with you the costumes were fantastic, along with the direction, but I still didn't think it was as good as the movie.

oooh, phantom. phantom is good, the singing is amazing, the acting (at least the cast i saw) was incredible, but it was sort of hard to understand everything because more than 1/2 the show was sung in crazy vibrato. its a great primer for the movie though, which came out like the day after i saw the show. i'll probably go see the movie with some friends soon.
