There are a bunch of sibling celebrities out there (i.e. Aaron/Nick Carter, Jessica/Ashlee Simpson, Britney/Jamie Spears, Hilary/Hayley Duff, etc.)..
Do you think it's fair that the younger sibling gets an easier break just because they get to follow in the footsteps of the older sibling's fame? Often times, I think that the siblings get a free ride to fame. They don't neccessarily have the talent that should get them to the top, but since their brother/sister's famous, then the are too.  Anyone else follow me?

I know exactly what you mean. They can become famous in a heartbeat all because of their older sibling. If i wanted to become famous right now, it wouldn't happen.. but them, yeah they get what they want.

OH geez. They think that just because the older sibling is a singer/actor whatever that they can become the same thing. Which is cute...However most of the time the younger one has 0 talent! ITs a shame

lol yah i get what you're saying. But sometimes i think it might be hard for the sibling because they KNOW they are following in their older brother or sisters footsteps. So they'll always think, i never became famous on my own talent, everyone will just know me as "so and so's" little sibling.
but....do they have talent is another story

I don't think it's fair.
Just because your older sibling has made it big doesn't mean that you should take the easy way out and try and become famous because you're so-and-so's little sister/brother. If people can make it big on their own, so can they. It's pretty pathetic. |

i guess. but then hilary and haylie duff is kinda a werid one. because hilary is the younger one right? and then haylie tried to do the singing and acting first but hilary got it. and haylie wanted to sing and act first, then hilary copied and got it . and now she writes songs for hilary too?!?!
 if i was haylie i punch hilary  but im a fan of hilary duff

i mean, we've already seen enough of their sibling. no need for more of what we don't like. |

Anyone else follow me? well, to me i think it's some sort of sibling rivalry thing, since one is famous, rich, popular, idolized, etc, the other(s) feel inferior to them so they have to "compete" with their sibling to get recognition |

I have yet to seen it happen, but that if a celebrity's sibling has the talent, but people are judging them just because their siblings happen to be famous as well? I still think it's kind of unfair because these people are becoming overnight celebrities beacuse of their siblings, but then they're other people far more talented than them that could never make it. |

Another exception to the rule: Janet Jackson. She spent her entire career trying to seperate herself from her brother and proved to be quite talented in her own right.

That means they have some luck just because their brothers/sister is famous. I mean I think that's very cool? Well if they are rich, then can make their siblings famous. Heh... Anyways I know that some of you may think hilary duff has no talent, but she got famous through her sister. Um yeah... well I think it's cool that they get to be famous. I mean I wish my sister was famous since I want to be an actress. And I don't want to take any drama class!! I just want to be in it very fast! lol... yeah
