Yes. I get them pretty often, actually.
I don't know why I get so many.. but I just.. do..  I always have. Dude, I currently have, like, 3.

oh goodness... my bf gets them a few times a month and they take a few days to heal! poor baby..
 Many times he would have like 2 or 3 at once. It runs in his family. I've only had it like once and it hurts  damn they need to come out with a cure for this!

Yeah, they should really find a cure for it, that goes away FOREVER. they have medicines but they still come back. currently i have 5!

I always get them because I have braces.
If you go to your dentist or orthodonist, they usually have medicine. My orthodonist gives me this q-tip thing that has stinky medicine inside, it smells really bad and it stings after i apply to my sore but it goes away in like..the very first minute you have used it...great stuff. |

Does Carmex work? I've never tried it...
I get them so often, they bug me. I have this medicine called Aftach or something close, and it works so well, but I got it from Korea. Sometimes, when I don't use the medicine, it lasts like for a month. Cankers and cold sores are the same thing, right? |

I always have them.. They take at least a week to go away.. EEK, so I suffer for at least a week, and it hurts like hell.
I have two, right next to each other, on the inside of my lip, right now. I bit there, accidentally and yea.. Sometimes it forms on its own. Usually when I bit my mouth in any place, a canker sore appears.Canker sores are different from cold sores. Cold sores is are caused by the Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV). I don't know much about it, so I won't ramble on about it. There are various reasons why canker sores can appear. It could be: stress; internal damage of the mouth, such as biting the side of your mouth or when eating something that scrapes against your gums, etc.; infections or allergies, etc. I don't know all of the reasons, so I only stated the ones I know of. Inflammation of the gum areas can result in canker sores as well. Anyway, IF you bite your lip/mouth when you eat and then a canker sore appears (after it stops bleeding, if it bleeds), it's because of the bacteria in your mouth. It's said that certain mouthwashes and/or toothpastes can either cause it or make it worse. BUT, there are special medications, as pick_the_scab mentioned about in her post, that you can take to help it heal faster. Also, I heard there is a toothpaste that actually reduces the pain of a canker sore as well as aiding in healing it. Hope what I said helped. I talked to my friend about it, and she told me about the whole bacteria-in-mouth thing lol |

Yeah, thanks for all the information. Last time, i got SO mad, i put salt on it & the medicine, i like got the q-tip & scrubbed it 'til it bled. Yup, that's how i am.

i have only gotten them, when i have had boyfriends, and that's only twice, but dang, they hurt a heck of alot! =o( oi...but i'm glad i make sure i dont share drinks with anyone but my boo, and make sure that he doesnt share drinks either... =o) yip safe...

My sister and my mom gets them a lot... but not me. I get them once in a while. My doctor gave my mom this medicine that numbs it for a bit so that she can eat and stuff. But other than that... it just hurts a lot *wince*

the easiest way to tell a canker sore and a cold sore apart is that a canker sore is inside the mouth, and a cold sore is outside.
