Plastic Surgery, for Nose Options

Today my mom told me that my cousin is getting a nose job and my mom told my aunt about how I also wanted one aswell. So my aunt suggested for me to get it done with that same surgeon. My aunt knows him (the surgeon) peronally because he is a member of their church. One of their church members got it done not too long ago and it turned out very well. My mothers half sister got it done when she was a teenager, she had the same exact nose I have before she got it done. Our families heredity pretty much sucks when it comes to the nose. Enough said. I'm very positive I want to do this.

So here is what I want to ask.

Do you know anyone who has had a nose job and how did it turn out?

If I were you, I would go to the professionals and the famous plastic surgeries lol.

This one girl I know, she's not my friend, but she got her nose job done. After weeks later passed, her nose rotted and had to go to the hospital immediately. So she got another nose job again.. weeks and weeks passed, it was okay. But like after a year passed. Her nose got smaller as if it was it has no air in the balloon. She looked like Michael Jackson. So she went to the professional doctors and she paid thousands and thousand dollars to get her pretty nose back. Now she can't hardly smell well. It's very sad because she went to do her nose job at a bad bad bad doctor. He wasn't that good. It was his first I think? So yeah she really regrets that she did a nose job.

I don't do nose job because I like my nose hahaha. Even though it's square looking T_T;; I don't care haha.

But hey, good luck on the nose job!

but why do you want to change your nose? If you told your boyfriend about it or your future husband -- I don't think he will like that. Cause my aunt got a nose job and she didn't tell her husband cause you know why? He hates girls who nose jobs. She's not telling him because he's very rich and she doesn't want to lose him. My aunt is the biggest loser! She loves rich guys, she doesn't love him

He did an unnecessary nose job. It was the total reconstruction of his nose and it was done multiple times.. which is obiviously why it looks the way it does now.

The purpose of my nose surgery is to fix the hump and an the enlarged tip. Technically it is not supposed to be there which is why most rhinoplasty patients decide to get it done.

I don't know neone that had their nose done, but i would be up for it. I don't think my nose is horrible, but i wouldn't mind making it better. But really think about this before you get it done

as someone said before...if it will make you feel better than go right ahead. i was watching this special about plastic surgery on mtv today. it said that once you get plastic surgery once, it's possible that you might become addicted to correcting yourself. just don't let something like that happen to you.

a girl in my old school got a nose job when she was in 5th grade, i didn't even really know what nose job was back then, but yeah, she is really pretty.

I knew a few girls that actually had their nose done. One had what you could say a typical asian nose (flat no bridge) and got that fixed. It looked really good, but it made her look mixed. Another girl I knew got hers fixed bc she had a bigger nose, and got it reduced slightly. It looks good, and it wasn't too dramatic. I guess it all depends on who you go to and how drastic you want to change it. In my opinion I think you're good to go.

Oh and I've thought about doing mine, but realized my nose is a big characteristic in my face. I couldn't change it because well... it's me and that's who I am.

Why are you ladies so impressed with plastic surgery? Why should you change your body in anyway? I am totally against plastic surgery. Love the body you are in people. Yes we have flaws but those flaws are what makes us unique. You just turning yourself into someone else by changing your uniqueness. If that makes any sense.

I got rhinoplasty back in September... late September. i guess it was my birthday present. And oh my, I was so happy =] it turned out great, and of course it's better than having my naturally grotesque nose.... oh how i hated it. Anywho, I may possibly get another one, to make it prettier, but I have to wait another year before I can go under the knife again.

You'd be surprised at the number of people who get it done... even teenagers, like myself.

The odd thing about the whole thing is that I was never in any pain... whatsoever. That was awesome, i thought I was going to be dying from the pain or something, haha. But yeah. Thank god for anastesia and the oh so wonderful Ibuprofen.

And people who's "whatever" gets infected after surgery is probably because they weren't taking their antibiotics correctly/at all/whatever... Err, i don't like taking pills.

Thanks. But it only looks good because I got the rhinoplasty I'm really glad I changed it, because it looks a lot better now; and also, I feel a lot better about myself

Don't do it. My mom got a nose job when she was 18 and now she's having breathing problems. Its really annoying to be around her when shes eating because she breathes so hard through her nose. Also, a line has started to form from the creases of the eyes to the upper part of the nose. It looks all sucked in at the bottom.. and is really obvious after you've had it for a few years. Its not worth it - trust me.

well, how old are you? maybe you should wait. I mean, i wanted a nose job for a long time and was seriously considering it when i realized my nose makes me unique...my grandmother got a nose job in college and she had my nose and when she was alive it looed great,but myabe you should reconsider and wait a few years.

this was interesting, you tell this whole horrible story and at then end you're like "good luck"

but anyway...if this is a must then go ahead...but keep in mind that plastic surgery can get addicting...because to some people it's an easy way out. i was watching this thing on mtv awhile back...these 2 girls who were best friends, they're barely 20 and they already got their boobs done, liposuction, their lips done, and their nose...they treated plastic surgery as if it was just another daily routine in their life...

Well if I was goin to get a nose job I would get it done in the summer!!!..cause during school c'mon now..but I don't kno I wouldn't do it when I'm young bcuz their could be side effects and if your body is not ready to handle that...it could lead into something serious that you would have to deal w/ at a young age...and whose cares..and I heard that if you do plastice surgery once you get addictive cuz then you find another flaw about yurself..soOo I dunno..do what you wanna do..thisis juss my perspective..

^^^ agreed. you should wait until summer in my opinion. there will be a lot of school tomiss and lots of time needed to recouperate id assume but i could be wrong. good luck!
