you get used to it. although i play clarinet and have braces, and it worse than flute because it pushes in. the inside of my lip is still cut up, but its been doing this since 7th grade, so im alright now. itll be hard to readjust my amruture once i get them off

I play the flute.. and I have braces. After I got them, I tried playing my flute, and the air wouldn't go in the right direction.. er yeah, I was like "OH CRAP I can't play my flute!!" But then I got use to it. You will too.

It would be sort of harder to play baritone with braces. I bet I could manage though.

whoa i never noticed that people get red! lol! well good luck with the braces!!

Dont read any further if u dun wanna hear...for others that want to go ahead..
-----------------------------------------------

It will hurt the first three days you got it first. tips on eating: always consider soup with not mucj chewy meat or hard things.

everytime the denstist puts your braces up a notch it will hurt for a while.

and finally the rubber bands!! when you put it on make sure to stretch it out first and they will hurt after a while

if your taking them off you'll be happy! it wont hurt!! it feels lweird later on!! after they remove it you have to wear a retainer. wear it everyday if u want but i wore it every night. I'm not sure but i think they would put a wire at the bottom teeth too keep it in shape. im not sure.

and this is my braces information! if i fergot some onfo well.....u can add it!!

I think that it would be really uncomfortable to have braces and play the trumpet.
But that's just a guess.

I play the flute, but I don't have braces at the moment.

I got braces when I first got my flute. So I got used to it very quickly. Now, ironically, I'm scared of how I'll play without braces, because I've never done it before =\

it's really awkward the first few times you play, your mouth will even get a little cut up.. ok, a lot cut up. you'll get used to it though, really quickly. lucky that the mouth piece is big, unlike the trumpet.

lets get this straight. this thread only applies to wind instruments. no string instruments. no percussion instruments. no recorders boredaznidiot *cough*. wind instrument. like band instruments, minus the percussion. ie clarinets, flutes/piccolos, tuba/seusaphones, trumpet, baritones/euphoniums, french horn/mellophones, saxophones, basoons, obes and all their variations
