it`s okay. the text on the bg looks pixelated, so you should edit it on making it smoother along with cutting the image of the character (don`t know his name..) on your bg. also, you need to fix your blog header; it`s pixelated, too. another thing, i can`t see the scrollbar arrows for the blog..

pretty good for a first. I'd have to agree with mariel with making the text smoother. if you're using photoshop, you can use the smooth, strong, or crisp attribute to make it smooth.
